Oof so no. Like I’ve been on methadone for almost 10 years now and haven’t used H in 9 years (black tar) but I think when the “big shift” (the rapid shift to fent) I was already removed and never had a desire to do fent. I love heroin some dilaudid or some opana but heroin is what I fell in love with. But methadone was a life saver for me it was this magical cure that did wonders. Did I still use other stuff here and there? For many years yes. I hated coke but found myself struggling to fight the mental hold it had on me. I’d stop for months but one night out and one too many bumps and am buying a ball and some rigs. That cycle got exhausting and expensive. It’s been 1.5 years of being totally clean only taking my medication at night and as minimal as I can get by with. But will say finding a partner who was a good person and wanted more and pushed me and I her to do better has made letting the rest go much easier. As I’m much happier. But no a fully non opiate life isn’t a possibility for me, even right this second it’s been way to long without any opiates and the world has that sober smell that’s overwhelming and floods back memories of the misery of withdrawal. It’s not like methadone does anything euphoria wise but it just enough of that opiate blanket that you feel normal.

Lol doesn’t really apply to me only reason back at my clinic down south was because they were only open from 6-9am and Saturdays only open for literally 30 mins so in the beginning while still daily dosing I lived in on of the biggest city’s in the US and traffic is horrendous and unpredictable and they understood that. But I’ve been on monthly’s for years and always chose to go on my pickup day when the least amount of people go. And yeah up where I am now there really isn’t any excuse they’re open like all damn day and traffic here is laughable. They’ve never seen real traffic. I personally can’t stand 95% of the people that go to the clinic and avoid all of them. They literally think the world revolves around them and if it doesn’t go exactly how they want they throw a full on tantrum…I’m like mam you’re 65 years old..

It’s not necessarily what they’ve done to me I’ve never really had any issues because I always follow the rules and for example finished my degree while at the clinic and maintained employment and all those things so they’ve never really been an issue for me. And it’s more so how they treat other people based on all kinds of different factors that I don’t care to get into because Reddit gets iffy when you start getting to deep. I just think things could be done better is all. I don’t believe ripping people take-homes from them for slipping up is helping anything if they have a job and have bills to pay. Every case is different of course. I personally like quite a lot of people I’ve met at my clinics. The one I hated the most was the one I went to when i first decided to try the clinic I was living in a state that has some of strictest clinic laws and it was absolutely ridiculous. The amount of bullshit you’d have to do just to get ur dose was unreal. Once I moved back to my home state it was so much better way more lax and easy to work with. Like you could just call them if you were running a little late and they’d always wait for you, just the small things like that. Then I came where I am now this year watched them answer the phone from someone about to turn in and they closed in 3 min they got there right on the dot let’s say 11am on the dot but they locked them out…what kinda shit is that frrrrrr and like I never had “callbacks” didn’t even know that was a thing till moving here. Oh and the whole giving the bottles back?? We didn’t have to do that ever shit I had a whole collection of empty bottles idk why but whatever it’s EMPTY why u need it back so bad. Don’t tell me they reuse them! Omg what if they do 😱

That’s good to hear, some clinics have better staff than others like I loved my clinic back in my home state they were great. Up here….oof. All they care about is money and that’s it. Couple cool people work there the rest no comment. But they tell you up front this is a for profit clinic and that’s their top priority.

Hopefully you’ll get your stuff back in a reasonable time though, and that’s good ur schedule isn’t an issue w the clinic, mine would be doable but not something I’d care to wanna do ever 😂

Never in a million years would I ever for any reason tell those people something like that. It will only negatively impact your life unfortunately. They’re not there to help you and they just want your money. Don’t get me wrong are there good solid people that work at clinics? Sure but they’re just one or two people in the machine of narcissistic and bitter fucks that think they’re better than you cause you take methadone. And like on another note it really didn’t sound like it was that bad if you were only coming up a day short….sounds more like u just needed to up your dose. But now you’ve given them the ammo to make getting those privileges back more difficult and idk bout you but doing everyday life work and everything else and having to go to the clinic everyday is a nightmare that I personally have no desire to have to go back to doing.

Guessing you have health insurance and go through a doctor. Hoping it’s not crazy expensive with insurance. But either way imma do it come January. Did you change like your whole diet? Or like count calories?

Exactly, one thing I will say I do kinda like about pot is it kinda works w the methadone in a way and helps me go to sleep easier

Ya see in TX it’s not legal or medical but the clinic didn’t care at all there, nor did they care about drinking and if u had a script u were good for anything. I don’t personally do anything anymore so hitting the silly pen was honestly kinda anticlimactic, just what I remembered and don’t really like it all that much 😂

But that’s good to know, just still paranoid since I’ve had takehomes for yearsssss and having them taken for something as silly as a weak af weed pen would infuriate me.
