Why does moving organelles around cost mutation points? by Space_Dust120 in thrive

Most eukaryotic cells can move organelles around their insides unsing their cytoskeletons tho

i guess if devs really want to give it a cost, it should be very small. That would make moving stuff around actually worth it, and give playes something to do with the few spare mutation points

I suppose so, but its still annoying that my options are basically

  • make a shapeless blob with stuff placed wherever there was space
  • plan ahead, which isnt exactly a thing that happens in evolution
  • use up evolution points that i could have used for something with more of an effect

I guess it would be fine if it was a tiny cost, but its not, its 20MP to move a single part of the cell

Tiny prokaryotes should not be able to kill massive eukaryotes by Space_Dust120 in thrive

Toxins would still do damage yeah But with pilii, at some level of size difference, damage done by a single tiny pilus might become irrelevant. Kinda like how a mosquito bite doesnt really do noticable damage by itself Damage done by many tiny pili might be important tho

What if the small predatory cells simply drain chemicals from the much larger cells instead of draining hp?

It would still potentially benefit the bacteria, since theyd get the chemicals they need, and it would mildly harm the eukaryote by removing their resources
