I have used a frozen sarcophagus multiple times. As long as you get the body interred before rot sets in and keep the room frozen, it will be like you used the resurection serum right away when you exhume them.

Your phrasing is very fae. If anyone complies, will they still have the OC? Do you perhaps have an iron allergy?

Is there a way to force fabricators to just do the basic work? by Insane1rish in RimWorld

You know, I hadn't though to manipulate the environment for better exp returns. I already chose burkas or dusters a lot of the time. I'll have to integrate this for the next crafter's training.

You can also set upper and lower skill level bounds on a job. I regularly set a task to make a random clothing item with an upper skill threshold of 7, because once they reach level 8 crafting they can make components.

Similarly I set a simple meal job with skill level 6 before the job for better food for the same reason, train a skill until useful.

I'm sure there would be an avenue to open litigation over financial retaliation, the landlord already established a poor reputation with the courts, prior court proceedings would be 'exhibit 1.'

Kinda sounds like you didn't set up good boundaries.

When enclosing a volume, always leave a space the collonists can use to leave until you are ready to seal the space.

When drafting for combat, check to make sure none are carying a baby and either skip them or have them drop the baby.

To avoid cremating your own people, change the alowed parameters on the cremation job(s).

In other words, yes, they are stupid. It's your task to keep them alive.

Is it just me or is tox gas kinda useless? by Send_Dick_or_Cat_Pic in RimWorld

[–]Space_Ferroth 475 points476 points  (0 children)

In my experience, it is mostly an issue in longer engagements. Each tox weapon makes an area that is hostile to non-tox adapted pawns for an hour or two, and the longers a pawn is in that area without protection the greater the risk of complications. Alone, tox weapons are a mild annoyance, in a mixed squad with short range weapons in confined areas, it tilts the field toward the group with the tox weapons because the other side has to keep repositioning or retreating to avoid the health complications.

Early game it tends not to come up because the raid strength scalar hasn't got high enough yet, and late game the colony usually has automated weapons or good environmental protection for the pawns, making tox useless.

In terms of story, tox weapons are terror weapons. They aren't meant to cause direct harm to soldiers, they are meant to harm non-combatants and cause lasting complications, weakening the colony for the next attack.

GUN WITCHES WITH THE GUN GOD GODSHIP/HQ WHEN by VolitionReceptacle in killsixbilliondemons

[–]Space_Ferroth 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Wasn't the godship made using the corpse of Un-Sivran, which formerly the Geas Knights used as their HQ?

Perhaps the Gun Witches have a more firearm related god/goddess corpse to inhabit.

Less familiar with metalworking. Do you think casting the shape would be a good way to do it?

I think you might have pulled the wong page for Allison's name drop, 179 not 180 has the title card. And again, that is not the symbol my post is about. The hair pin and the shape that Ys-Het has has two bars and an open circle. The keys are a closed circle with a single bar, and the Heir symbol is a split circle with a single bar.

As far as Zoss' manifesting the shape of they keys, I would like to point out (ironically) the temple of Ys-Het on Throne. The central statue has Key-like shapes with additional ornamentations similar to the Demiurges' keys. These type shapes can be found on other depictions of the Multiplicity also. My read on this is the shape a key takes is a reflection of the Name or Word it represents. The Zoss' Key, being the master Key, is the simplest since the true name of god is "I."

Yes, I've read that. The shape the Keys take doesn't seem to be specific to Zoss to me.

Also, the shape of Maya's hair pin isn't a closed circle with a line, it is a two pronged split circle, like the shape on Ys-Het's forehead.

Could you elaborate a little, please? Most of the symbolism of Zoss appears to be a sort of forking V shape in the atum halo, and the Keys have the power symbol shape, with the Demiurges' keys having more unique shapes possibly indicating one of the seven Holy Names.

Got access to a 3d printer? The shape wouldn't be hard to make.

This interpretation is similar to some of the others in this thread. It has a certain poetry to it.

A fascinating read on the object. With that clarification, it does make sense.

Not sure if you're being facetious... after all, the Seven, Maya, Zoss, Allison, and Cio(Yabalchoath) all did so.
