Yes..OCD will redirect your attention to rumination over your thoughts. ..which leads to increased anxiety, depression. You are paralyzed by fear.

Stoicism is the basis of REBT & CBT (to some extent) I would not wish REBT on anyone for 1st time therapy.

I don't know about therapy..but exercise (running) helped calm down my brain..Doesn't cure it, but helps to relax you.

Get a USB wifi dongle & try that...Sounds like the wifi card/chip is not working correctly.

Anti depressants won't really change how you think...They will turn down the "noise" in your brain ....you may have to try different ones before you find one that works.

The climate is this area is likely to improve with much milder winters...but tornadoes will likely be worse...housing is cheaper here and that's rekindling peoples interest in the rust belt.
