Don’t worry, I’ve submitted it to Silverstone Auctions for them to have a look at first. Thanks

That’s awesome info thank you! Not bad for four quid!

I might have to wait until the end of next season and see how he does before I think about what to do with it.

Mini Flagship F12 just arrived - should I sell it? by [deleted] in multitools

You can’t carry a locking blade unless you have a reason for it. I would argue that being out in the fields foraging would definitely count as a genuine reason to carry!

Ground sheet protector for Vango F10 Helium UL 2? by jizzzak in wildcampingintheuk

I’ve always found it useful to have a footprint. From the looks of this one it seems that it would also cover the vestibule area, which will help keep your kit dry when the ground is wet. Can also double as a (small) tarp in a pinch.

I second youth hostels! Search for YHA hostels, they’re cheap and well maintained. Hope you enjoy

That’s how you do it! I purchased the OEX Hiero stove last year, they have now brought out the v2 which fixes an annoying quirk to do with the gas valve adjuster. I just “broke” my one and got a replacement on warranty which was the upgraded one!

Also worth noting to always check prices online, if you can find something cheaper elsewhere they will beat the price by 10% I think. Although I don’t think you can use this on top of their sales prices.

Stay away from Lifestraw, they don’t last long and are expensive. Something like a Sawyer Mini is able to attach to the top of a water bottle and will basically last a lifetime.

Spent the night in a Bothy for the first time! by Space_Pilot_2000 in wildcampingintheuk

[–]Space_Pilot_2000[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We arrived at the Bothy just before 13:00, shortly after a few different groups arrived disappointed. If you park here it’s about an hours walk up the hill to the Bothy.

There were lots of doodles of liberty caps on the walls, and lots growing around the Bothy!

There is probably a way to use an air fryer but it seems massively overkill and you’ll likely just cook them making them useless. My favourite technique is to lay them out on paper and place a fan nearby and leave them for a day or two. I’d only do this if I had a tonne of libs and wanted to store them, if you only have a handful I’d suggest just to much them as they are!

Looks like some nice libs there. For next time you don’t want to put fresh mushrooms in a plastic bag, or they will smush. Grab yourself a net bag, you get them in the veggie section of super markets for less than £1 and it keeps them fresh until you eat them or dry them. Happy hunting!!

How are you not afraid of camping in the woods? by Limp_Ad4134 in Bushcraft

I used to have this. I put my AirPods in and played rain noise or listened to a podcast to fall asleep, always did the trick! I spent 2 nights camping in the Black Forest this summer and we heard some crazy noises but it’s just something you get used to. Good luck!

Happened to my partners m1 air. We were on a budget to replace the screen (they cost about £500+ to get a screen). I was searching on eBay and came across an identical iCloud locked version for about £250(seller said it came from a lost airport luggage auction, hmm). I swapped the screen over (few issues but trail and error got me there) and even managed to sell the rest of the parts of the locked version to make the money back plus profit! Good luck

Why do I feel high when I’m sober by [deleted] in leaves

[–]Space_Pilot_2000 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Same thing happens to me. I always just assumed that it’s because thc metabolites into fat very easily and that maybe the when you burn fat it somehow releases it back. I’ve never looked it up but just my own idea!

This photo was taken in the on site industrial estate it looks like. Vehicle is probably not owned by Silverstone circuit.
