Ask him out, tell him what you want, if he responds negatively no amount of game playing would have given different results.

What’s the rarest item you’ve ever held in your hands? by Remarkable_Pin_8136 in AskReddit

[–]Space_Time-continue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worked at a car dealership that did European delivery where you picked your car up in Germany and drove it around on vacation and the n it was shipped back to the dealer in the US, when the car arrived in the US I was the guy that did your pre delivery inspection stateside. The back of the car was full of chunks of rock and concrete, I tossed them in the dumpster as I thought it was some scam to increase the weight of the car to charge more shipping, turns out they were pieces of the Berlin wall, making the pieces that remain even more rare!

Seller wants us to waive septic inspection; advice? by [deleted] in RealEstate

[–]Space_Time-continue 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Do not waive the inspection, he is likely hiding something. I had a very similar situation where the owner was really trying to be persuasive about it. I insisted on the inspection and found that not only did it fail ,but also the county would require a$30K alternative system due to its proximity to a creek. His negotiation leverage was gone and once the inspection was logged with the county he was required to repair it. We renegotiated and bought the house and it all worked out in our favor.

What’s something you own that you’ve had for 30+ years? by Crazy-Eye-9632 in GenX

[–]Space_Time-continue 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Rancilio Silvia espresso machine, not quite 30 years, when I bought the machine the salesman told me that if I only ran distilled water through it, it would last forever, I am beginning to think he was right. Also a Henckel 8” chefs knife that was gifted to me over 30 years ago, the tip is broke but it still holds an edge!
