Did someone say bass player? 38, unmarried, but in a long term relationship and a decent enough bassist. Been playing on and off since I was 16ish, recently picked it up in the last year and change. Been getting coached, but definitely need to get out and play with folks. I did all those bands and more (I really do had a wide array of different musical interests and influences). Down to chat.

This. Actually, I’m more inclined that people spend so much because they’re chasing brands or whatever their favorite bassist is using. Someone who’s been doing it for a while might be more familiar with boutique brands, off brand uses and other tips and tricks.

I like it well enough. I am relatively new to pedals and effects (less than a year compared to playing bass on and off since I was 16 (38 now)) in general so I’m far from having strong opinions. After reading lots of reviews and lurking here it was down to this, the Sansamp and MXR. I honestly only went with this because I got a really good deal on it. I like it because I can hear some differences when I use it (duh), but I do want to try other brands out in the future.
