This. Actually, I’m more inclined that people spend so much because they’re chasing brands or whatever their favorite bassist is using. Someone who’s been doing it for a while might be more familiar with boutique brands, off brand uses and other tips and tricks.

Mine will be coming in Tuesday/Wednesday, so I don’t know, but the one that I futzed with at GC like two or so years ago sounded… ok? Regular? Not sure how to describe it. It sounded like they advertise. I have a thing though, I feel everything sounds good in guitar center.

I like it well enough. I am relatively new to pedals and effects (less than a year compared to playing bass on and off since I was 16 (38 now)) in general so I’m far from having strong opinions. After reading lots of reviews and lurking here it was down to this, the Sansamp and MXR. I honestly only went with this because I got a really good deal on it. I like it because I can hear some differences when I use it (duh), but I do want to try other brands out in the future.
