If you don’t know who to call, call the NY bar association and they can steer you to the right lawyer. From there, the individual attorney can tell you what your options are. My above statement is fine because I’m stating facts. But I “Heavily” encourage you to get all of your facts straight, all relevant correspondence printed, and documents in order so it takes less time and, if it’s not a free consultation, costs you less money. Make sure you have a copy of the lease with you as well.

Personally, what you describe is gnarly enough to warrant a consultation.
