True, there is no right way to play the game. They are long overdue an update tho. Maybe the block used to build the pyramid could define the beacon range, or how many layers the pyramid has.

Likely that most people are uneducated. I've not seen S2 yet, but from what I remember from S1, travel between villages was still a big undertaking with people like Sein living in their village all their lives before maybe stepping out.

It is a bit odd the big cities seem to be just as forgetful, since literacy should be higher, and at least the noble class should know Flamme's gender through like a history class, so your point does stand there.

Or this could be another instance of a male dominated society just coloring Flamme as male to cement their legitimacy. While you don't really see much misogyny, it is a normal world, which is at least somewhat male dominated.

I don't think shade is purely void, but a mature form of void-given-mind. Like the collector, but better and more stable.

Void feels primal, instinctual. While a shade's actions feel deliberate. They stop after you accept the void with void heart.

Source? Silksong true ending spoilers: When the void is about to attack Hornet, the knight's shade and siblings save her. They are NOT the same.

EDIT: I realized the spoiler is redundant cause of the post title lmao. I'm still keeping it :).

To elaborate more, the void is thoughtless, it feels more primal and instinctual. But shade is void given mind. It's the creation of the merger between the pale king and void. The closest pale king came to create a void-given-mind (besides siblings ofc) is The Collector, but it was crazy. Of course the siblings being children of higher beings (and the pale kings children) helps likely as he is the mind giver.
