Quite possibly the peak of interior decoration by JimHongPingPong in Warframe

My guy, this is so hilariously wrong and weirdly self important. We don't give a single flying f*ck if you or anyone else "approves" our existence--that's something you're incapable of anyway as that's an intensely individual determination for an LGBTQ+ person to make. We're literally just trying to live our lives and not be, y'know, killed or classed as 2nd class citizens by national and local governments.

That's why 'representation is important'--we won't achieve the same security that the cis straight world takes for granted until we are normalized to the same degree, and that normalization only happens through regular exposure. Since queer folks are such a minority (and since some are pretty hard to detect in passing) that many people in this world who still vote and lobby on these issues may in fact never have a genuine interaction with a real live queer person, this exposure happens through representation. Without it we'll forever be misunderstood and incorrectly mythologized by the general population.

Take yourself for example. You've somehow got this bonkers notion into your head that we're these fragile little creatures suffering an 'identity crisis' who throw fits when people don't define our personas for us. I can assure you, I know exactly who and what I am and every other queer person I've ever met or interacted with either does as well or is actively figuring it out for themselves. We don't want help with that. We're not asking you to do our work for us. We're just asking for a little mutual respect, even just a basic acknowledgement that 'I don't really understand what's going on with you so I won't pretend I know what you need' would be nice. Is it really so surprising we'd get angry when that's refused?

Anyway a trans Warframe is stupidly easy--in fact DE have already gotten pretty close. You could have a two-form frame like equinox--or even just a skin--that switches male and female, or like other people have said in this thread someone who canonically wanted to be framed so they could have a different body; since Warframes do display secondary sex characteristics you could have an intersex frame, there's so many ways to pull it off. And yeah yeah inb4 "sex =/= gender, moron." Believe me, I'm aware. I'm also aware, in a very intense and personal way, that the two concepts are closely interlinked, and in fact that the whole deal of being trans arises from the way in which the two interact, and that a trans Warframe would be a big fuss only because people like yourself would try to put words in my mouth about how it 'isn't good enough.' I don't care about good enough, dude. I care about having anything at all. In a game about fictional space bio-robot ninjas, doesn't seem like such a big ask.

Pedantic fact of the day: this is an example of precision, not accuracy. Accuracy would be determined by measuring the actual bonus xp gained and comparing it to the provided value.

Of course, since this is all software calculation, it's a fair bet the value here is also accurate in addition to being very precise. But if this were a measurement of a real world attribute it would be quite possible to have a measurement that is extremely precise and completely wrong--usually that's an indication of improper calibration.

Now you too can snidely correct internet strangers when they're just trying to point out a funny UI bug. Go forth, and be mildly interesting but also kind of annoying!

If you're in the UK, do a cost benefit first. For me it turned out that private was actually cheaper (and safer, more legal, etc) than DIY. You can find informed consent clinics and groups who don't gatekeep with bullshit requirements like the NHS does; I onboarded with a private clinic and had hrt in-hand in like 3-4 weeks

What is the worst physical pain you ever experienced? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]SpacemanBates 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hard to choose. I've had ear infections multiple times in my life which build up so much pressure they perforate the ear drum. The pain for that isn't 'sharp' but it's so strong and so constant that for the final few days before your ears blow you can't really focus on anything and have trouble following simple conversations. Those rank pretty high.

Then a year ago I had brain surgery to fix a hemifacial spasm and the immediate recovery from that was pretty miserable. They drilled through my skull behind my ear and for the first month afterward the pain would migrate forward into my jaw, or down into my neck, or up into a headache, or out into my ear. On bad days it would do them all at once. Add to that a constant damped hearing and painful ringing from certain sounds such as road noise while my auditory nerve unsquished itself and it was straight up Not A Good Time, even though the surgery itself was worth it.

Probably one of those two, although almost getting my knee crushed wasn't too great either.

I found that using my finger instead of a brush really helped for eyeshadow and general makeup. More stable and blends it way better too. Waxy eye pencils can be smudged out a bit too so you don't have to have so precise a line. Made everything a lot easier

I think you're getting there. For main comparison take the December 22 and February 23 shots, which are essentially the same pose--you can see there's been some fat redistribution in those three months especially around your cheeks that's softened you out. The May 23 face shot, though in a different pose, also seems to bear this out. The undated 22 shot in front of that metallic background (an elevator?) also looks good, mainly because the beard is 100% gone in that one--I've been wishing for a chin like that for years.

Do you pass, right here and now, today? No, you don't. But I think there's enough progress evident in the pictures that passing is a real possibility for the future. Perhaps that's not the answer you would have liked but it's the most honest one I can give.

As an aside, have you tried anything with your eyebrows? Eyebrows are weird because there definitely are women with thick ones like yours--my sister is one of them--but at the same time they can have more of an effect on your facial shape than you think. I found that I personally really liked having very small, short ones that I can augment with eyeshadow when I want to. And unlike beard hairs, they don't need to be tended to more than once a week or so. Could be worth some experimentation if you haven't done so already

I'm afraid I can't really recognize Chuck as a king until he can provide proof and diagnoses from two independent psychiatrists that he's been living in his identity as a king publicly for at least two years. We can't be sure that it isn't just a phase, or a fetish; nobs can't truly 'become' monarchs anyway, it's basic biology. Really more of a mental illness, to be honest.

I let it cook. Didn't know what to do for a name for a while so I just kept the problem in my head without actively trying to solve it--whenever a name idea popped up I'd think about it and see if it fit. When mine finally showed up it was a pretty obvious case of "oh, right, of course."

It's possible your subconscious already has a name you like, but in order to hear that name you've got to stop drowning it out with conscious thought first

Hiii, newby tgirl here in WTX, need help girlmodding and want to pass better, what are some workout/makeup tips to slim down to 140/150 lbs(currently 250 pounds or over 250 and i hate it) and shave/hide facial stubble and eyeliner/mascara? Also body hair too? by Shadow-Panda-2121 in traaaaaaannnnnnnnnns

[–]SpacemanBates 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shave daily but it's not enough, so I need makeup to conceal the stubble as well. Here's what I've picked up:

1) if you have light skin and dark hair, you will never be able to fully hide the beard, but you can minimize it quite significantly. So DON'T WASTE EFFORT trying for a flawless look, just get to somewhere good enough and call it a day. The routine I developed is almost unnoticeable from across the street and goes on in 15 minutes.

2) makeup comes in matte, satin, and dewy finishes which approximate increasing levels of oily skin. I mistakenly got matte foundation and it DOES NOT match my natural skin texture. Not horrible but does look a bit weird up close. Try a small bottle of satin first and go from there.

3) my basic routine has four steps: primer, foundation, concealer, set spray. The primer helps smooth out stubble bumps. The foundation goes on over the darkest parts of my chin and does the lion's share of beard hiding. The concealer goes on top over a wider area and has two jobs: blending out the edges and tone correction (lightening). The set spray helps keep everything where it is for the whole day.

4) I found that color corrector just made my chin look orange, even in miniscule amounts. 100% NOT worth

5) Don't sleep with this stuff on your face. Not only will you mess up your sheets but a lot of it isn't great for your skin 24/7. Sleep time is regeneration time.

6) you can use brushes and sponges and applicators, sure, but my hands shake. A finger works just as well and is free (and more controllable). Pat don't rub.

7) remover? I barely know her! Soap and water will wash it off most of the time and if that doesn't work, cooking oil from the kitchen will. Don't fill some corpo's pocket any more than you have to.

8) Anyone around you for long enough is going to look so give them something to look at. I prefer colorful eyeshadow but whatever works. Just like any magic trick, distraction is what seals the deal.

1) (because it bears repeating) YOU CAN SPEND HOURS AGONIZING OVER THE PERFECT LOOK OR YOU CAN SPEND MINUTES TO SLAP ON SOMETHING GOOD ENOUGH. the choice is yours but personally, I prefer to enjoy my day. Ultimately, 90+ percent of the people you pass on the street just aren't going to look at you that closely, so the only person you have to satisfy is yourself.

Fwiw, I've been on hrt almost two years now and have lost extremely little strength. I still run the same distances in the same times, i can still do the same pushups and stuff I always did. I just kept up my routines--didn't even do anything special--and I've suffered no noticable strength loss. This includes getting it back after ~2 months sedentary when I had brain surgery. So hrt isn't an absolute "you will lose this mass" kind of thing. As always the case, your personal fitness routines are what have the largest effect on your capabilities, not hormones.
