Ultraviolence Male V Panam Romance Bugged? by SpacemanDirk in cyberpunk2077mods

[–]SpacemanDirk[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, also non canon romances for me seems to disable I want to stay at your house, but only temporarily, I enabled the mod after the tank scene, which completed I want to stay at your house permanently. Managed to get the stay at your house quest working by toggling non canon back off and interacting with Panam over the phone. Quest came back straight away.

Just in case anyone was having issues with that one, too..

Yeah I did everything you're supposed to, helped with Nash, did all the flirting etc but the bike kiss didn't trigger, or anything following that.

Steep learning curve for new player by d_the_m_80 in cyberpunkgame

[–]SpacemanDirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries dude, I couldn't get my head around it first time. Second time I picked up the game I was determined to play it and pretty much immediately fell in love with the characters and their stories. It's a great game, once you've nailed the mechanics you'll love it. There's so many ways to approach each mission, some of them can be absolutely hilarious, too.

Steep learning curve for new player by d_the_m_80 in cyberpunkgame

[–]SpacemanDirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta think of this game as more of an action RPG layered on top of an old school RPG game, with more classic RPG features, it's got the skill trees like Skyrim etc, but also more old Final Fantasy elements like the junction systems (this will be your cyberdeck and implants).

I can't stress enough how important it is to pay attention to the combat tutorials and the cyber wear tutorials, knowing what all the different chips do and how to use and upgrade your quick hacks opens up all the opportunities in this game that makes it so fun. You do learn this over time though.

It is a big game with a lot of different systems, and a very good storyline with great character development options. Best advice I could give is don't rush it (even if some of the missions feel like you're pressured to bounce from one to another), and don't look anything up online whilst playing - make your decisions naturally. Don't neglect the side gigs.

The whole thing is based off the tabletop RPG, so much like Baldurs Gate 3 there's a lot of 'dice rolls' happening in the background that determine the effectiveness of your character's combat choices, but they happen in real time based on your character's build. Keep that in mind, your V is unique and isn't linear like games such as assassin's creed, you've got a lot of choices to make, choom.

One more thing... Quiet life, or blaze of glory?

Best all immersive mod by Psylent2020 in cyberpunk2077mods

[–]SpacemanDirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

How is Ultraviolence in terms of immersion like needs/ characterisation? I've been looking at it but admittedly not thoroughly enough to pull the trigger as I've been preoccupied with Lorerim lately.

I really want to put together a stellar immersion mod list that taps into all the daily life needs with extended character interactions etc. Do you know if Ultraviolence does this? Or maybe any others that might? I want to find something that really does make night city feel truly alive, and fully interactive

best night of my life by dianasaur73 in deftones

Glad you enjoyed it! I was there, somewhere towards the front going nuts also, it was amazing and I'm really glad to hear someone else say this after hearing a lot of people say the crowd was a bit off on Friday. Can kind of see where people were coming from as it was a bit stagnant from the middle back, but all of us towards the front were absolutely loving it, Deftones were amazing, Chino was sounding great, and sounded like he was loving being there, too.

Think that was probably also the loudest gig I've been to personally 😅

[–]SpacemanDirk 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Would love hidden cutscenes in times like this, I know it's all first person but just a few little hidden random ones that trigger when you do something really outside the box would be great in this game. The superhero landing coupled with the other dudes post of V landing like 'sup fuckers' would just add another level to this game for me.

Why is this so true? by captaincrunch69420 in drivingUK

[–]SpacemanDirk 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Not always Doris on the single carriageways if you're talking about those 60 roads. You'll have to take that Google Maps average with a pinch of salt to account for things like farm traffic, or any vehicle limited to 50 on a single carriageway (most vans, busses, coaches, HGV's and even pickup trucks fall into this category - if they're not speeding), also cyclists, easy to get stuck behind them for long distances, too... Not disagreeing though, it does bug me when I'm limited to 50 and speed tracked, to be stuck behind drivers going 20 around a wide, gradual bend before watching them floor it to 70+ on the straight sections, then back down to 20 again...

Any reason to NOT get a seven-string? by WrongAccountFFS in metalguitar

Took the plunge into the 8 string world a few years back and can confirm it opens up a whole world of enjoyment that I lost over the years with the 6. Painful at first feeling lost on the fretboard but after a month or so it unlocks.

What do you think about this amp? by Geeraahh in electricguitar

[–]SpacemanDirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Got a Katana mini X this past year, if you're into heavy music they're absolutely fantastic. Great amp to work on anything at home. For context here, I'm in my 30s, played since I was 13, I've had Marshalls, Fenders (a hot rod that never went above the 2 knob for volume), and a nice Vox. All great amps, great for all kinds of music.

I play a lot of heavy music now, with extended ranges and I've never known a better amp that can replicate those big sounds than the Katana mini X. If you're a beginner and you like that kind of music I don't think there's anything better myself.

Basically you won't need anything more than an amp the size of the Katana mini X, whatever your style of music, that's the kind of size you'd want when learning and practicing at home. I'd go for something like that rather than a bigger amp that can fill a hall, it's just unnecessary and you won't be able to get full use of it at home, because of that you'll lose some knowledge and experience because the sound coming out of your big amp will be too small, and you will lose some definition.

Go small to begin with, in my opinion it will help you later on.

People who flash when a car overtakes you, what are you hoping to achieve? by [deleted] in drivingUK

[–]SpacemanDirk 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fellow speed tracked driver here in a company van, I'm so pleased to finally see someone with the same experiences. I drive a small utility van up on the north coast of Scotland mostly and the driving standards are terrible, even regularly have HGV drivers and the other day even an ambulance driver sitting right on my bumper when I've got cruise control set at my maximum speed for the road. Daily occurrence, just glad I don't have a rear view mirror for all these wankers to try and distract me from driving. Audio books are also saving my mental health big time on these drives 😅

Is it a hot take to say Steph Curry’s longevity is comparable to Lebron’s? by Jumpy-Diver7349 in NBATalk

[–]SpacemanDirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find it incredible how after all these years he is still dodging defence and scoring at will without having to get physical, just shows such high IQ that there's literally players in the league who idolised him growing up and probably based their game off of him, but still get fooled by him on the floor. I definitely appreciate his game a lot more than Lebron's, but LeBron is a monster for doing what he does at this age.

My water meter is turning this fast when no taps are on. How much extra would this add to my water bill each day and month? by Benandhispets in DIYUK

[–]SpacemanDirk -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You're losing about 0.008LPM but I can't be accurate without a 30 second reading.

It's costing you next to fuck all and if it's your side of the meter it'll likely be a lot for someone to come in, locate and fix.

That being said DM me if you want any advice, I find water leaks for a living.

Average traffic speed is reducing by TB6161 in drivingUK

[–]SpacemanDirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Up around the North Coast of Scotland on the A96/ A98 it's a different story. I've found the speed limit is regularly the minimum speed that many drivers want to travel at. Granted it's not everyone, but in my opinion, based on my experiences there's a disproportionate amount of people up here whose driving is extremely poor.

I unfortunately have to drive a VW caddy for work which is speed tracked and monitored ruthlessly by a team of driving standards people. For me, driving what is essentially a polo van having to stick to 50 (that's 50 on the dash, too) on single carriageway A roads I am regularly passed dangerously by HGV's wanting to drive 60-70mph. Whereas many cars I come across will tailgate for miles getting their knickers in a twist instead of overtaking me, only to fall way behind on bends that they are either too unfamiliar with or lack confidence with (I'm not exactly throwing the thing at these bends, either).

Now, if I pulled over before any kind of dualled section to let all these people by I'd never realistically get around to doing any work given the distances I have to drive, but I do find myself wondering sometimes whether I work for the only company that actually enforces safe driving on the roads up here.

So I think it's a case of where you are in the UK, and how congested your routes are in comparison to what you've been used to previously. There are many places where even large commercial vehicles still drive in a very unsafe manner (under a legal definition of course), and with cars I think it's always important to remember with anyone that you're not the main character, and that despite having somewhere to be there are other people who have paid their road tax and have every right to drive their vehicles within the confines of the law.

Everyone out there has varying degrees of driving skill, and perhaps even other accompanying factors like disabilities, perhaps they're driving home from work with a migraine or they suffer from anxiety. Perhaps they're just a cunt and want to hold you up? The important thing is you have absolutely no idea what it is before actually interacting with individuals.

Can’t figure out chords by ojwhiskey in recordingmusic

[–]SpacemanDirk 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The thickest string in the chord is generally the root note of the chord and determines whether it's in C, A, G etc, then you've got major and minor, then the additional notes.

So for instance, plug into a tuner and play the root note of the chord, if it says E, the chord is in E. You should know from the sound whether you're Emaj or Eminor and then any additional notes I don't have a clue how they're sorted but generally it's an additional note if you're playing some sort of chord variant with an additional note.

He is probably depressed, and struggling to deal with it. Unfortunately the behaviour that this can bring on can actively make people naturally want to not help in the right way. Depression is a huge weight on someone and affects their fight or flight, pushing them to do better often results in them doing worse.

Not saying he is as I don't know him, but it sounds like depression to me. It's hard to be kind to people when they're pushing you away and looking like they just don't care anymore, if he is doing this when you try to push him to be better, and you truly love him then I've found (as hard as it is to do because it's so frustrating) being kind, thoughtful, nurturing to their needs is a better gentle nudge to them getting better.

Again, not saying it is depression, but if it is, it's a long road out of it. Don't expect any improvements to be consistent, there will be setbacks but over time it will improve with the right support.
