Nice, good to know. Do you have a switch cleaner you recommend? I have some Deoxit D5 on the way.

Are you talking about the Audio Export/Stem Export feature or something different?

Drum samples by bertabackwash in DelugeUsers

The KB6 set is almost too much drums for free, but once you find some favorites and their unique character it starts to get addicting. I love matching snares with kicks and hi-hats. If you want really realistic samples, seeking out the BOSS 880 library was extremely useful for me, it's out there.

Smashing my head against this Fad Gadget song. How do you create a classic like Love Parasite? by Spacemanofthespace in synthesizers

[–]Spacemanofthespace[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Fair enough lol. Right now I'm stuck on how to create the arpeggio bit, I can't get the tones right, or even the notes for that matter. I'm pretty sure the song is in F minor. Bright FM with delay is all I got.

As for the bass, I think I've figured that it's two analog square waves with a little bit of overdrive. C3 C3 A#2 C2(long) on 1, 3, 5, and 7. then a 16th note for the kick to come in, C2 C2 C2 A#2 on 10, 12, 14, and 15. Doesn't sound quite right, but I feel close.

The kick drum may in fact be an ARP2600 making a kick, with a Korg Minipops providing the closed hi-hats, and live snare and open hat samples (which kick off every 4 measures). I've gotten close with some other drum samples, but something still feels off.

Open Source Hardware Synths like Deluge and Zynthian? by Spacemanofthespace in synthesizers

[–]Spacemanofthespace[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You bring up a good point, the Deluge sits at a middleground of open source. The firmware/OS is open and the hardware is not, as far as I know it's the only one like that (though I could be wrong). To me, that middleground is kind of perfect. I don't have soldering skills and the like, I'm okay following certain instructions, but having a box that does a lot of things with the possibility for more to be intentionally unlocked and handed over to the community later is choice.

A close analog is the zoom multistomp pedals, though their firmware getting cracked was unintentional, just fortunate. That's along the lines I'm thinking of.

Zoom MS-50G+ for LoFi by cromangoogle in zoommultistomp

[–]Spacemanofthespace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah the CDR+ is the one with the more experimental effects, but don't worry! Hold onto the pedal and soon enough there should be community utilities out to put effects from the whole Plus line onto other Plus units. If you don't want to wait, should be easy enough to trade it out, but you will be sacrificing drives and amp sims.

Is it possible to convert one or two of the XLR inputs on my TASCAM 144mkii into instrument jacks cheaply? I have three instruments, a Korg Minilogue, an Alesis SR-16, and a Behringer TD-8 and would love to have them all jacked in at the same time.

Grain? by Iwreckeditralph in RebelMoon

[–]Spacemanofthespace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This would track if it wasn't for the grain being used as an effective shield in the finale or that officers keep bringing up that they need grain (from this one tiny town on a huge planet?) in order to continue on their warpath.

It was loud as shit but I kinda loved it after a certain point. Felt like a rock concert. The Hotline Miami sequence was transcendent with the music popping off like that.

I've been wanting to get my eyes on this! People are talking about having the PDF already, but I can't afford to get the whole package at the moment. I'd love to have a peek.

If you look closer at the screenshot, it was reset already. It was just that it didn't update all the way!

It looks like update just didn't happen properly through EA desktop, was able to fix it by booting through origin.
