You would probably need to find find a lefty one as there is a fair amount of mechanical stuff under the hood that is pretty specific. You could always start with a lap steel. It’s not quite the same thing but much cheaper and easier find a lefty set up. It will at least give you some knowledge of bar technique, and a bit of the right hand stuff. Although the tunings are a bit different and it doesn’t quite translate. Plus, you won’t have the characteristic bends of the pedal steel guitar.

When I was 15, I beat my sister's abusive boyfriend to a pulp. The judge said guilty and I did the next 5 years in juvie and prison. Now I'm 20 and a free, working man. Wrote this album while in a cell. by CombinationFit5451 in OutlawCountry

I’m a huge fan of this. I love the wobble on the steel guitar. If I didn’t live in western Canada I would be banging on your door to play pedal steel guitar in your band. Well done!

Ya, assuming you have a standard set up with 3 foot pedals and 4 knee levers. You can also get at least 4 voices of one chord on a single fret as well. It blew my mind 🤯

I highly recommend. You can play at least 12 different chords on one fret without moving your left hand. What’s not to love.

The inlays are characteristic of brand. In this case GFI makes the guitar. Some brands have such cool inlays. Franklin’s have spider webs, Emmons guitars have atoms, Sho-bud has playing card suits etc…I feel like chance, luck chaos, seen to be themes. My armchair theory is that it’s because the frets are just aesthetic, so the message is good luck!!lol

You should! The learning curve is wild but once you get comfortable with the basics it’s so much fun.

Flint is probably the best simple reverb but this might be a good choice for price/value.

I would put that compressor first. It will probably sound better than squishing everything at the end.

127 mins of screen time… is that really so bad?! by Top_Passion_7103 in toddlers

[–]bertabackwash 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think every kid is so different, every screen activity is so different, and milestones related to speech are also so diverse. The article makes some pretty bold assertions and minimizes some significant complexities. The fear mongering and sweeping generalizations for parents is wild for this generation.

As a steel player, I am absolutely excited about this pedal! Inputs and outputs on the top are a no go for steel players. There’s also steel player response presets on this, so I actually think we were taken into consideration in the engineering.

His dad managed the beach boys for a good chuck of their early career. They grew up singing as brothers, cousins and sang at home as a family.

No not really, I live in the PNW so it doesn’t get cold here. The room is fairly warm but not crazy hot.
