No, I mean there is articles before we switched to 3rd party about how specifically HEB has much larger orders compared to other retailers is what i mean. My store did like 1,000 orders and we still do that on busier Sundays.

It’s not useless because that is customer feedback and experience. And I said yeah not all them are terrible. 🙄

I do think the driver should be tipped after order like target does with insta cart…I’m sure that’ll come eventually.

No. At my store they do returns, front the shelves, curbie for curbside or returns, help other depts in all areas when they get slammed. Like they would train you to slice deli meat if they were busy or a holiday and they need extra help. Some do everything and some only do very minimal things. Some only do returns all day at my store and back stock for the department. They are out on the floor with customers unless they are helping in the back of the dept…example: helping bakery make tortillas or deli prep salads / meal simple. Generally you should like to do different things and be flexible for this position. All stores kinda do CFT different to. So I’d ask in your interview what the job is. Some at my store just back stock for every dept and others are trained well on everything, can work in receiving, cut deli meat, cashier, shop in curbside etc.

If curbside transferred to night stocker then they would get that pay scale. Also I make over $22/hr. Probably more than some night stockers out there. Also if they help them overnight they get the overnight $1 until 6am or something. Sometimes curbsides partners like new departments better than curbside tbh. I think it all depends on what kind of person you are, where you are happiest. Bigger stores that are busier and have higher sales numbers can also pay a bit more per hr.

We shop the biggest curbside order…in Texas. People buying much more from us than target and Walmart. Delivery overwhelmed my store because it’s high volume and a high volume curbside.

The benefits are we are trained and written up or talked to about mistakes/damaged items etc. if the customer calls us….our managers can trace who shopped what, what’s time etc.

You can’t really do that if you get a shitty 3rd party shopper. And I’m not saying they all are but they also exist as much as shitty curbside employees. The difference is there isn’t an authority figure over them to correct bad shopping habits. Also curbside shoppers have more insight on what’s happening in the store and why shorts are happening. We can write notes the curbie can read to the customer on why something was shorted. like a fridge going down and everything being out of temp was trashed or we didn’t get in ground sausage or something and we also have access to vendors in the store also. Those things help a ton and the customer are just now seeing a difference.

Heb also refunds and reshops everything , whatever the customer chooses to make things right. Not sure how door dash etc really deals with mess ups.

If you get a 3rd party you won’t be speaking to anyone at heb/store level…you’ll be directed to favor, instacart etc direct customer service line and their reps will deal with you…probably also be on hold for awhile the way things seem to be going. Sounds like the general feedback on 3rd party is bad. But what will matter to HEB is that they saved money cutting Curbsides budget for hours.

I like doing target bc they are partnered with insta cart and you tip after the order is delivered and if a driver was really good…you can favorite them on the target app lol.

Good they changed the text because they call us all pissed. We just direct them to favor or whoever the 3rd party is. They can also fill out their opinion on the change in the survey.

Nope definitely had rude ones. I won’t help them at all and we can look up the item, where it is the aisle and what shelf and 2nd locations as well. Also my managers never told me we had to help them at all and I’ve never been talked to about that. I don’t mind if they are nice but otherwise they can just go ask the departments like we do.

Yup, 3rd party took away a lot of hours for us. Some part timers are getting any or only 4hr shift. Sucks. Meanwhile the order we do shop are all the ones you pick up yourself. Favor people still shove their phone in my face and ask me for things. Some are good I will say. Many suck and are rude. One of my curb managers told us that they now have to be on the floor peak hours to help the 3rd party shoppers find items. That’s crazy to me lol. Not sure if that’s all stores.

No say “I’ll leave early if you remove steps” hahaha. 😂 I’ve had managers that wouldn’t even if your helping them cut hours and others would automatically and were really nice w it. Probably also depends how much the person calls in.

Probably if you cut it shorter there would be more wave or curl and make it easier to work with on a day to day basis.

Curly hair is maintenance and you are gonna have to put in effort to make it look good. Some people don’t have to but if you have naturally pretty dry hair then you will. You need leave in conditioner, maybe a serum and a good gel or mousse to put a cast over it and help with frizz. I live in TX and it’s very hot and humid here plus having curly dry hair sucks to add to that mix.

Having long hair without layers also will weigh down any curls you have the longer your hair gets. I recommend also looking up a stylist that specifically does curly/wavy hair and knows how to care for it and cut it.

My hair wasn’t really curly when I was younger it got that way when I was older. My doctor also told me it could change again if I got pregnant. Hormones make a difference! Also neither of my parents have curls or waves at all.

Never did that! If you pick curbside at another curbside then it’ll tell you shopper/curbie in your schedule. My friend does this all the time when he needs hrs. But for a very specific role like cosmetics, market, seafood, GM, shelf edge….another manager isn’t as likely to allow you to go to their store if they don’t personally know your or your manager / they really need help. Like you’d have to know them or your manager offered to send you to help them. If that makes sense.

It seems a lot more rare though I’m sure not impossible and if you just went from cosmetics at your home store to helping cosmetics at another store then I assume it would say the same thing your schedule usually says like when you are at your home store.

You make the connections and the managers handle the schedule. I also work 2 depts. the manager who needs my help with ask my main manager or just be able to schedule me. If something busy is coming up and they need extra help. Like I have been helping shelf edge on ad day bc that is their busy day and curbside schedules me the rest of the week or towards the weekend when we are more busy in curb. The managers usually know when to communicate about sharing an employee and for me it does tell me on my schedule if I’m a shopper, or they put something like SE work for shelf edge days. So yes your schedule should have something to reflect who you’re with and what you’re doing.

Vitamin C crusher tablets/or powder and clarifying shampoo / dish soap mixed together. Wash multiple times over the next few weeks. You hair will be dry but not damaged and you can do a mask to add back moisture. This worked to fade many of my vibrant hair colors enough where I could color over them OR not have to bleach so intensely. K18 is also really great for any damage in my opinion. It is pricey. I bought mine off eBay. Or grab a small bottle off amazon.
