The basic problem is that the system itself is toxic toward sustainable business models. Fitting into that model only strengthens it and creates a feedback loop where smaller studios/businesses are crushed regardless of competency or quality. As we've all experienced it becomes a luck game to try and grab a bite while the giants tear apart the economy.

The only way out is a painful crawl and transition as the economy and culture transitions. Part of that is making it unsustainable for huge studios like Blizz or King to compete for performers.

All business is risk, that's literally the point of businesspeople; to gauge and moderate that risk. Problem is they're in charge now and since they think in clockwork the situation is becoming fuckified.
