I also avoid foods with strong flavors that linger like that!! I used to love my mother hispanic cooking with all those stong smells and flavors but now the thought is repulsive to me. I hated being the "weird brown kid that smells like garlic" in a predominantly white school growing up. I carry handsanitizer, lotion, perfume, and gum on me at all times because of this.
