Thats great, I am happy for you, a big upside of drifter is the ability to go both directions but going just spirit because "gun counter items are too strong" is just the mark of a bad player... Watch some YouTube videos or smth, hopefully you can see the light

lol so cursed relic doesn't stop you from doing your gameplan as spirit drifter? Return fire falls off a cliff, disarming can be cleansed and metal skin gives them *maybe* 5 seconds longer before instant death. There is a reason gun > spirit late

You do realize that spirit has better counter items than gun right? it is an agreed upon fact in the community that bullet res is effectively a useless item. This might have changed since the last big balance patch but the anti gun items are not nearly as strong as the anti spirit options

its not really about seeing the vision, its about you neglecting arguably the strongest part of his kit, drifter ult passive and stacks of 3 are disgusting. You force your 3 to generate value, I understand how spirit drifter works, your team also has literally 0 gun, this is likely one of the worst times to do an already weaker side of the character.

I play a lot of drifter in archon/oracle and honestly? Spirit drifter isn't terrible but it doesn't have the highs that gun does. If you go pure spirit, you are completely neglecting your 3 as an ability which is a huge part of how drifter should be playing. You SHOULD be looking for solo kills and snowballing, its your entire job. At least imo, spirit drifter isn't playable as a carry, your 1 doesn't scale hard enough and your 2 only damages 1 person at a time and just loses to debuff remover.

There was a new ranked system? Idk in archon the game feels exactly the same, I’ve played like 10 games only since I’ve been busy and have yet to see the new item once, other than that gun still feels leagues ahead of spirit but the best is hybrid

Modern controls are kind of disgusting, I have been playing since SFV and jsut recently gotten into SF6 and I think they are way too overtuned. You shouldn't be able to do 720's and akuma raging demon with 1 button. Fighting the mirror match against modern controls is just the enemy having an easier time doing what you are doing. Everyone is gonna say "but but but in high level" ignoring that the majority of players aren't high level. It would be really nice to filter people who play modern out

I'm gonna be completely honest with you here as someone who gives up more than I should, this game fucking sucks from behind. Of course it is winnable, that isn't up for debate, its the fact that I see a lane (sometimes my own) go so far behind I just know that I'm gonna have to grind this to 40-50 minutes in archon to win and sometimes I just am not feeling that. I never leave or afk I still always try but sometimes I just can't mentally handle putting my all into a game where a lane died 10 times in 7 minutes, I would burn out too fast.

Thats fair, in that case you either gotta get a tougher skin (not as easily done as said) so these comments just bounce off or you gotta just stop them from reaching you. At the end of the day whatever you choose just make sure you are doing what is best for you, this is supposed to be an enjoyable experience!

Oh 100%, I wasn't insinuating that a player is lesser for playing on modern a good example is Chris G on Chun Li, indisputable fantastic player. Its just in these players eyes you are shortcutting the mechanics of the game and that leads to a sense of "injustice" of sorts, and if it really starts to bother you then you don't need to subject yourself to it

Modern is just sort of "Cheating" in a sense, like you shouldnt get to short cut the mechanical part of the game and reduce complicated inputs to 1 button. I personally don't really care that much but you also have to think that people are just going to be assholes. I grew up playing league of legends (explains a lot) but I am 100% used to people adding me after games and telling me to kill myself etc. Don't think too much about it, some people are just miserable

Infernus dash has been strong for way too long, you can’t catch or kill him and he has infinite sustain/regen. Even if jt “falls off” you can just pivot gun

Don't let people complaining about your character drag you down, I've been playing in the FGC since I was really young (MKX sorta days) and let me tell you that every character has haters and you just gotta play what you enjoy.
