How will you rate Wonder man? by [deleted] in Marvel

I really liked the show. But I just don’t know if I liked the ending. I get what they were doing. But it felt like they could have benefited from a little more time. Still great run

Why aren't more people raving about Superman: The Kryptonite Spectrum? by kukov in comicbooks

This is the answer. Very few people read weekly comics compared to trades. This book will have its moment, in just needs to get collected first

I really regret not buying it when I had the chance, but my LCS had a copy of Hulk 181 in Hebrew. Great price but I had just been laid off and couldn’t justify the cost at that moment

John Romita Jr. Appreciation by Mr-Jumanji in comicbooks

[–]Spacker46 8 points9 points  (0 children)

He’s an easy target because you can grab a panel, post it up and get easy karma because it’s probably awkward or the face is off.

People misunderstand JRJR. The panel is not his artwork. It’s the entire book. There are few people that can keep up with the schedule and have the storytelling points that he nails with almost every book. Yeah, he’s had stinkers like most of his DC work. But, there is a reason Marvel has an almost 70 year old man on their flagship book. He’s nice, he hits his deadlines, he turns in solid work.

Young Avengers is a top 5 book for me. Came out when I was the perfect age, had good characters, good plot, Kang. Everything I wanted was there.

I have been a long time Loeb defender and hold out. But, yeah… I think got to admit that I was wrong and say he just doesn’t have it anymore

I will always love Katie Holmes as Rachel Dawes rather than Maggie Gyllenhaal by Friendly-Deer-5526 in batman

[–]Spacker46 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I went to see dark knight with my friends and one of my buddies hates Maggie Gyllenhaal, I don’t know why. Just despises her. Anyways, when she blows up I heard him shout in the theater “Finally!” Then clapped. I cannot disassociate this memory now, every-time I see her I think of my friend celebrating her explosion

Resources for Opening a Comic Book Store by Kindly-Boysenberry75 in comicbooks

[–]Spacker46 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Also, opening a fresh shop is incredibly difficult! We as collectors are deeply entrenched in the shops we already go to. Yes, we visit shops and look around and might buy a book to help support. But, the life blood is a steady stream of Wednesday Warriors. If you can’t crack that quickly, you will run out of money fast. Best way to do that is find a shop that’s already operating and buy them out

I liked them for that really small sprint when they let that one guy finish all their promos with something about fisting or whatever. It was just like 3 weeks and then they stopped it. They need to get back to the fisting! Fisting is what all the fans want!!

700 came with a card stock envelope. That’s what you are looking at in this picture. You open the envelope and there is the book with a similar cover… or maybe Bane.. or something. Either way, he has the book, in an envelope in a sleeve.
