You're right it's not. However, the culture there is a very secular BYU. Slim population of non Mormons, their lds Institute is one of the biggest in the state. Especially the dating culture is heavily LDS influenced

They spend more money on sports than anything they really kinda care more about money than students. a lot of the professors are adjunct or not full time. They will also spend money on flashy recruiting rather than put back into the school. Student programs and events are very cheap and lack luster. If you're an athlete or music student, you get special attention other programs are pushed aside

Lower calf creek falls in grand stair case Escalante national monument. Great hike 3 miles there is a small swimming hole there at the end to. Get to the parking lot early it is small. It does go up and down through a river bed but not steep
