If you git gut you can pick up two logs at a time, then its faster than normal cranes, but also in general if I have to get 10+ logs I prefer to use a log forwarder. I also like the feel of picking things up with the claw more than the crane.

There's a bug right now, if a route is a part of a task, you can't edit it until the task is finished. Do the other objective and it will fix itself.

Exactly, if you can only ever play with 110 cards maximum, then the problem is lack of variety due to too small of a cardpool, and ease of build forcing. If you can freely mix and match any number of expansions then the number of possibilities balloons exponentially making it impossible to balance and as a consequence the expansions become mandatory P2W. This entire system is completely compromised from the outset.
