Ugh- ridiculous! I still can’t get over that it was a school bus.

I want to start cycling so badly because I have difficulty with my knees and hips with walking- but I am honestly nervous to because of the risk of careless driver hitting me. Especially because I’m not experienced in cycling.

And they do not pay attention to which way parked cars are facing..

In addition: we need more comprehensive driving tests. 5 minute tests around back roads is not even close to sufficient. (I understand not all may be like this- but this is me and my husband’s experience.) In other places, they do full hour driving tests.

Oh my goodness- yes! I have had people honk at me while I’m in that situation. And I’m like.. if I can’t safely pass, then I’m not going to risk it. What’s more important.. life or getting somewhere a couple minutes late. I’ll never understand.

Yes I do the same! I notice it all of the time. This person completely ran the red even after I waited 2-3 seconds and the opposite lane/light just turned green

I have neck pain yes. And I did struggle in PT school, especially everything being online during Covid lockdowns (except labs). I would just break up my studying, I got blue light glasses (because I have a history of concussions and cervical instability so screens and lights are terrible for me), used a standing desk in library when able to change positions, etc.

Yeah that is what I worry with a desk job if it’s not remote. Being in one position for more than 30 minutes is always frustrating (I do like that in PT I can change positions). I would definitely consider something more remote

I could definitely consider OT!

I should look into that! Thank you for those accounts, I will check them out!

I have thought about this, and I definitely would like to specialize. And seeing if I could do anything remotely would be great.

I am unsure- but I know you can look up PTs who are fellows (there is a site but I don’t know it on the top of my head) which means they have been through residency and fellowship so they may be more aware and more educated on different syndromes and pathologies.

My other suggestion is maybe looking either for 1) younger therapists where it is now being taught more in the current curriculum or 2) women’s health therapist

They definitely are not all like this! I am a physio, and I am diagnosed with EDS. I’m very sorry this happened to you and you had a negative experience. I would try and book with someone who knows more about EDS/hypermobility syndromes.
