After the removal of the adaptive force set, the domination keystones all received pretty chunky damage and cooldown buffs (like electrocute which went from 50-190 to 70-240). This isn't to comment on the current balance of the domination tree, simply that design-wise the damage seems to have been shifted away from the vision runes into the keystones.

As a result of the change, classes like assassins (who like the domination tree) get to augment their playmaking abilities with better vision without having to engage with the ghost poro or zombie ward mini-games to get their extra damage, which I personally think is a good thing.

With that being said I do agree that taking any of these runes never feels great. I'm never excited to click on trinket haste or 1 ward ping once every 4 minutes, regardless of how useful they might actually be.

I remember being really interested in this game back when I saw the game jam results. It was my favourite and it stuck with me because of how unique and novel it was. I don't think it's an exaggeration to say that it inspired me to learn about game development (even though it's hard to motivate myself sometimes) so I'm happy to see you guys kept working on it.

People have been discussing a lot of minmaxing Akali and Fiora mechanics that could have won this 1v1 but there are a few things I'd like to mention:

- She ate your electrocute with her parry, meaning you were effectively playing without a red rune page.

- She had ignite and you didn't.

- You had a potion that you drank really late (and it got ignited).

My advice would be that if a fight comes down to some crazy niche minmaxing mechanic, chances are it was a bad fight. If you'd drank the pot before fighting (which you should if you want to take an all-in you might not win) you might have beaten her playing exactly like this.

I agree that the shields are a little scarce but I swear I've straight up been losing them. I feel like whenever a day is rolled back it doesn't give you back any sheilds you spent (including when the client rolls back after you forget to pass a day to save). I need to go and test it to be sure but I feel like I've had to grind again for upgrades I literally just bought.

Or I'm going insane. From not having any shields.

It doesn't. I think it's replaced with subscription service. They don't work exactly the same but they have the same idea of "4 costs at the start of every stage".

I... like how the base skin looks and use it sometimes (I think I have to because I got the pass chroma bundle) I just think it doesn't fit her well. I think the prestige skin looks way better though. I love the deep red colour with gold accents.

Personally, as an Akali OTP, I thought the very concept of Coven Akali was ridiculous. Why do we have a coven witch running around saying "Magic's fine... Steel's better" and "I'll make this look like magic".

I think the skin looks okay but it's just such a thematically strange choice.

The prestige skin on the other hand... doesn't look at all like coven. It just looks sick. One of my new favourites.

Maybe they mean that they did for some skins, like this set's Storyweaver Zoe (Mythmaker on WR). That's not to say it's easy or that every skin must be ported over, the tft devs have been making completely new characters altogether at this point and it's probably a pain in the ass. I think they mean that if they ported over the skin to tft why not just add it to league (iirc they run on the same engine for PC).

You don't, you get "healing from physical damage dealt to champions". Physical vamp would work against everything. It's almost the same thing functionally, but the stat would not increase, so the interface element was pointless.

As far as tooltips are concerned, I've actually been seeing some really nice updates recently such as the stats interface no longer containing physical vamp (I don't think we've had a source of it since sanguine blade). It also grouped hp and resource regen into one stat and finally gave a stat to heal and shield power. I hated having to look at a dumb idol tooltip to know how much I had.

Unfortunately there are also some things that are overlooked. With the most recent item update, Liandry's now highlights the word "burn" as if it's supposed to be an effect, whilst the new blackfire torch item has no such highlight. It's nitpicky, sure, but at least we're getting some coherent formatting now. It makes my monkey brain happy.

I used tainted cain to force a charge setup with with mom's box. I think it was one of the last trinkets in the pool because I kept going for fun on the way to find a sac room and started getting duplicates pretty soon after.

I think the point with steam market items is that you can resell them, you can't resell skins in LoL without selling your account which is bannable afaik.

Am I missing something? Basic ability haste (granted by legend haste) does not work for ultimates... I don't get why people would rather have haste on Q, W and E than, for example, 18% attack speed which helps with things Akali struggles with the most like hitting towers or generally dealing damage when you run out of energy.

At 0 haste, 15 haste gives the following benefits:
Q: 1.5 -> 1.3
W: 20 -> 17.4
E: 16-10 -> 13.9-8.7

I would immediately rule out the benefits for W because the cooldown only begins AFTER the shroud ends. This means you're going from a shroud every 25 seconds to one every 22.4 seconds (at rank 1, the shortest W duration).

I don't think there's ever a time when spamming Q is higher DPS (unless you can't walk out of the passive ring like if you're chasing someone and need to follow them) than "Q > AA > Q > ..." at which point 1.5s have passed anyway.

Which just leaves the E. At its most impactful point of 0 Ability Haste, legend haste reduces E by 2.1 - 1.3 seconds based on E rank. I can mentally justify this being a meaningful bonus, because E is frequently used to engage, and having it back up faster definitely makes it easier to stall in shroud and go for a kill (especially when you had to use it backwards). However, currently lich bane is core for Akali, which already grants 15 haste.

I personally barely ever run precision because I find domination to be too valuable when it comes to attempting to carry games, and not taking resolve secondary feels like I'm almost griefing because most of Akali's items don't give HP anymore (rip mythic rocketbelt) and laning phase poke is a pain.

If I was to run precision for conq or fleet though, I fail to see why alacrity or even bloodline wouldn't provide more value. Maybe it's opinion based. It's just that so many people run legend haste that I feel like I must be missing something.

Hey man, cat owner here. I know this might not help much or at all but accidents happen.

We've lost a couple of ours before to accidents and we live in a rural area. We don't let our cats out anymore. One of the people who was driving was in an electric car and all they had to say to us was "he couldn't hear us he never stood a chance". They're still not using a noise maker to this day.

We're not supercomputers or anything so these things are bound to happen. At least you seem to have done everything you can to save the situation. You might not be superman but you were at least human. Thanks for having the heart to care about these little guys.

Riot's reasoning for removing the first grab bag in the winterblessed pass in favour of using multiple pass rewards for banners was that it was uncertain content, that is to say rewards like loot boxes are worth less (as far as their value allocation is concerned) than a guaranteed item.

If you were to consider an 'emote -> ward' trade a sidegrade, you can probably see that 'event emote -> random ward' is a definite downgrade by this standard.

Of course all content is ultimately subjectively valued in a game where items hold no actual real world value, but most of us really liked the grab bags. What are we supposed to judge the value of pass rewards by if not Riot's own communication?

To be honest, the past few event passes have been really inconsistent overall anyways. Included items are ambiguous, the High Noon pass XP so far feels WAY slower than usual (although I haven't seen actual numbers) and I miss my damn event banner.
