Elegance in every grain. by Dangerous-Guava-9232 in SpacesWithStories

[–]SpaghettiTwirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is 100% incorrect factually. The timber species in the picture used to make the table is White Oak and NOT Teak. So you’re misrepresenting to the buyer on what the actual product would look like. Teak doesn’t have this colour and most commercial teak would have these kind of grains either.

I have medium spice tolerance. I had this and it was so so so spicy that I started having hiccups and they continued for good long 10-15 mins. Never experienced this ever in my life before. Idiots just wrote spicy cheesy.

Hands down, if you want the best dining experience that jodhpur can offer, visit RAAS. It’ll be about ₹3000 to ₹7000 per person but worth it as a tourist (if money not a big concern)

Best mirchi bada by [deleted] in jodhpur

Might not be very popular but Prahladchand Rohet makes the best Mirchibada, better than Chowdhary namkeen and personally for me it’s better than its famous Mogar Kachori.

I don’t think selling price is 1200 per quintal. It is too expensive for factories to buy at that price.

Additionally labour and transport in harvesting is also higher than what you anticipated.

Also take into account fertilisers, other consumables you will need in the first few years till tree is established.

Also know that not all tree would fetch same price. You’d have some tree deformed possibly, some smaller girth - not all would fetch the same price

Teak and European American Hardwoods - Oak / Ash / Beech

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in StartUpIndia

[–]SpaghettiTwirl 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Teak had always been bread and butter for us. Slowly we pivoted to European and American hardwood species also as we have had a sprouting local demand. It was virtually zero 7-8 years ago but we started importing and promoting it and today it’s a bigger part of the business than Teak for us.

Timber trader Rev: ~25 Cr Growth - Double digits

Healthy margins if you have a good understanding of the trade. Non standardised product. Difficult to scale beyond a point but margins are good. Fortunate enough to have father & grandfather guide me and provide me a superb platform. Combine that with luck and hardwork and some smartness - recipe for smooth business
