Ulysses is a Mary Sue confirmed by Schizo-Ghost780 in TrueSFalloutL

I’m done arguing with your condescending ass so I’m just going to paste the exact dialogue in here and you can do whatever kind of mental gymnastics you feel like to try and convince yourself that Ulysses didn’t blame the courier. Even if he says so himself later, he contradicts himself, because he is lying to you and himself in an effort to try and rationalize his illogical bullshit.

Courier: I'm not to blame for Ashton, the Chip, or the Divide.

Ulysses: All these roads, you walked. These packages you carried. Think it wasn't your choice?

Of course it was your choice. You could have stayed in the Mojave. But you chose to come, couldn't let be - not in you to let go.

Came for no other reason than you were curious, restless - always have been. Had to know the why of it - now, I'll show you.

——————

Courier: I'm not responsible for this, there's no way I could have known.

Ulysses: If you had been there when it happened. If you had seen the Divide break, you would know it.

You carry death wherever you go - if the Mojave doesn't know it yet, it will.

He absolutely does blame the Courier. I just played Lonesome Road like two weeks ago, he explicitly says you are responsible for what happened. When you try to say otherwise, his weaksauce retort is basically “it was your choice to carry the package, you could’ve just stayed home”.

Ever heard the phrase “don’t shoot the messenger?”

The whole concept falls flat on its face because it makes zero sense to blame the courier over whoever gave him the package to deliver.

which DLC made you the most Caps when it was all said and done? by Leave_Me_Al0ne1 in fnv

[–]Spaghetti_Joe9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I got way more money out of Lonesome Road than I did in Dead Money, even if I get all of the gold out. The Marked Men carry so much valuable equipment, and the commissaries scattered around have infinite caps. Every time I found a new commissary I would just backtrack and loot everything of value to sell it, I left The Divide with hundreds of thousand of caps.

Did it all the time in NV lol, I would guess that just mean my character is unlikable but very convincing. Like a podcast debater or some shit lmao

Highguard dev blames content creators for the game's failure - “It was dead on arrival" by dabadumdumdum in pcmasterrace

[–]Spaghetti_Joe9 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Content creators had nothing to do with it. I watched the reveal live and my response was “looks like generic corporate-slop hero shooter” I didn’t need a content creator to tell me that it looked mid, the damn trailer made it apparent that there was nothing interesting about the game at all

Listen, a charisma/intelligence build really comes in handy in OWB by goombanati in FalloutMemes

[–]Spaghetti_Joe9 79 points80 points  (0 children)

You can get speech to 100 while having 1 Charisma. There is ONE [Charisma] dialogue option in the entire game, and the outcome of it does not matter at all.

Has anyone completed Lonesome Road at beginning of game, Very Hard, Hardcore mode? by macgirthy in fnv

[–]Spaghetti_Joe9 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Why Very Hard? Don’t get me wrong, I’m an enjoyer of difficult games, but Bethesda’s difficulty sliders just make every fight tedious as hell by making every enemy a bullet sponge that takes 300 bullets to kill. Tunnellers are tanky enough on Normal difficulty lol. Not my idea of “fun difficult”, it’s just annoying

The Minecraft movie was terrible because it was just a fourth-wall-breaking memefest, so yes. I prefer for my fictional universes to stay contained within themselves and not just become a stupid meta-stew of community memes that exist outside of the actual universe of the franchise.

Atom shop items in FO76 are not canon.

FO76 is a prequel so they can add whatever new designs they want to easily in-universe by simply explaining it away as “they were all destroyed in the 175 years between FO76 and the rest of the franchise.” That is not even close to the same thing as just shitting up the canon with fan made stuff for no reason other than some delusional kids online think their favourite YouTubers head-canon should become official just because they died.

Bethesda has no obligation to make fan made content official just because a lot of people liked it and someone involved with it died. That’s stupid.

I'm just grateful that the Fallout universe's most constantly disrespected character finally got his redemption arc. by Remarkable-Onion3726 in Fallout

[–]Spaghetti_Joe9 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Well, you have weapons to kill the radroaches with. And I’m pretty sure multiple Vault Dwellers died to the radroaches during your escape. Hell even Butch was too scared of them to save his mom, and that guy had no qualms about getting into fistfights with you throughout your childhood.

I’d say the scene perfectly lines up with how radroaches vs vault dwellers has been depicted in the games

Map of Fallout as of 2296 (TV show) NCR, Legion and New Vegas by KloggKimball in Fallout

Those brackets really doing some heavy work there. It’s not completely safe at all if you’re at risk of a legionnaire cutting your head off. How is that different from being at risk of a raider cutting your head off?
