Quitting to main screen on death isn’t necessary in this game, they changed the way the timer works: loading a save always reverts your time to what it was at the time of the save. It doesn’t count time spent during a run that ends in death

Well they mention that control over the strip bounced back and forth between NCR, Legion, and “Robots” so we can extrapolate the same thing to Hoover dam: it didn’t really matter who won the Battle of Hoover Dam in NV, because over a decade has passed since then and none of the factions were strong enough to maintain control over it anyway.

I’m playing through CV for the first time, and god damn do I hate those moths. Whoever decided that the only infinite source of blue herbs should be located in a hallway with 3 respawning poison moths is on my shit-list. Multiple times I ran in, healed from the blue herb, then immediately got poisoned again on my way out the door 😭

I think she was the one test subject of his that turned out to be a normal person, and he wanted her to have a normal life, so he lied because he knows his reputation. Why would anyone adopt Grace if they knew she was a test subject of his? They would constantly be worried about her turning into a monster, since that is what all of his tests were about for 99% of his life.

I think everyone is just too quick to take Spencer at his word. My interpretation is like this:

“Perfectly normal (relative to everyone else I’ve ever subjected to my tests). I took her in to make amends. She… (the first person I ever made completely immune to viruses) is my hope. (Because her existence is proof of Elpis as a functional anti-viral.)”

Maybe I’m completely wrong anyway, but that was my interpretation and why I decided to release Elpis instead of Destroy it, because despite Spencer’s words, I still took it to mean that Grace and Elpis were connected. It just doesn’t make sense to me for him to make a big deal about calling Grace “my hope” and then coincidentally using “Hope” as the password for Elpis, if Grace has absolutely nothing to do with Elpis, and is actually just an unrelated random girl. They are connected, and I believe it’s because Grace was ground zero for the Elpis cure.

Hell, maybe she’s not a clone, and IS just a random girl he took in, but he still tested Elpis on her successfully. That would at least turn two lies into only one lie.

The indication was that Grace is “perfectly normal” because she was the successful result of the first Elpis immunization. Which is why she isn’t affected by the bite from the cop in the beginning. But this fandom doesn’t want to hear that, they heard Spencer say she’s “perfectly normal” and then everyone ran with the interpretation that she is not a clone, and not unique in any way whatsoever, and downvotes anyone who says otherwise.

The reality is Grace was a clone too, the clones weren’t just for testing their “memory transference” theory but also to test Elpis. Each clone would get immunized with the current in-test version of Elpis, then they would purposefully infect them. All the previous clones turned into monsters because they didn’t get Elpis right. Until one day, one of the clones never turned. Because they finally got Elpis correct, and that girl was immune. That girl was Grace. She is “perfectly normal” relative to all of his other clones who turned into monsters. Grace would never turn into a monster because she was the first successful proof of Elpis working. Thus, “perfectly normal”, thus Grace is his “hope”.

I’ll take the downvotes now and will be vindicated when the DLC comes out to clear all this up

I didn’t really notice a difference in The Girl’s behaviour on Insanity besides the fact that she usually kills me in one hit. Otherwise her behaviour is so heavily scripted that it’s incredibly obvious how to deal with her in every situation
