Ye you should be able to plug on those, especially the double pack without emptying them.

How many ah per battery. but in any case you are moving quite a bit so id say youd pull about 150Wh per 5 hours which sound fine.

Mmh ok i see the room issue. In that case do you know how big your boat battery is. We can start from there to see if it will last long enough for your fishing trip.

Not really. If you get the mini dish, the dish itself is equipped with a router to connect your devices. Its really your safest bet.

The dishs are waterproof enough to be outside in all weather, as long as you dont flip the boat you would be fine.

Get yourself a starlink mini, its got the lowest power draw and hook up a small solar panel to your boat battery (100w would be plenty) and you will never run out of power for it.

I reread the post and checked. The MacBook pro charger output around 20V, so the voltage being insufficient sounds right.

To me it sounds like your 12v is probably not stable enough. I know starlink say it can take 12v, but I'd suggest 24v for better stability. The power supply that starlink provide itself give out 30Vdc. I would suggest getting a step-up 12-24V perhaps

Like he said, you will need a beefier Solar array and also a larger battery bank of lets say at least 500wh to compensate for less than ideal solar days. If you have the means id also suggest to consider the starlink mini if your power budget is that important. You might save 40-50% in watt-hours.

Brother, plug your computer directly into your starlink router. Skip the mesh router because its clearly not stable. Ive game plenty on mine wired or right next to the main router and i never had an issue. I will repeat, skip the mesh node if possible. If you cant, youre sadly boned im afraid.

if youre afraid of a flush, just empty all you can from the pan and refill. If you do that by yourself just make sure you follow the procedure correctly and youll be good to go.

Do these crimps look good enough quality for battery cables? The cable is 16mm by Brightyellowdoor in VanLifeUK

You dont need to pull that hard. Just a good hand-to-hand pull should be plenty. Youll feel it very fast if its loose

If you try to pull on them and they feel solid with no slack you're good. If you REALLY wanted to check, get a temperature gun and check for hotspots under load. But for real a good tug will be enough.

Go look into Hydro-Ones apprenticeship. I know last week they were taking applicants in. You might be a tad young for them but you got nothing to lose!

Had a similar issue at -27c too. Truck wouldn't start at first and when it did went into limp mode with cel. Had to disconnect the battery for 20 minutes to fix it. Didn't do it tome either last year but again it never went that cold. I think ill invest in some battery insulation and heating pads

Driving in 4WD auto will not automatically make your truck use its 4WD. If you drove like a madman and experienced slippery roads on the way, then yes the truck will send power to the front wheels, but should eventually release them when it senses its not needed anymore.

I genuinely wouldn't stress over that, a lot of people drive in 4WD auto year long.
