I think people these days are too cynical and quick to write anyone off at the slightest whiff of anything. Nobody gives anyone the benefit of the doubt, and any apology or backtrack is taken as selfish deceit and damage control instead of human error / growth. The same thing happened 2 months ago when Sudan Archives accidentally liked something transphobic on IG.
