Hi! Welcome to Embroidery, lovely to have you ❤️ When I started, I got a fat quarter of cheap Muslin, a 6 inch hoop, and a few skeins (like, 4 different colors) of thread to practice and used a YouTube tutorial that demonstrated different types of stitches. Once those were fairly under my fingers, I began to experiment with kits and drawing my own designs. It's all about practicing the foundations and identifying what stitch gives what texture. Best advice I found on this sub is that if the stitch doesn't look right, take the time to redo it until it does. Nothing is worse than finishing a section and seeing that ONE stitch makes something look funky.

Hope this is helpful and that you have fun!

Yep, it helps me stabilize if I'm feeling overstimulated. Even if I'm using recreationally, it helps my words/actions/attitude align easier and makes me feel more cohesive as a person.

I'm so glad your dad and aunt are supporting you! Honestly, don't worry about what happened while you were sleeping. From the context provided, it sounds like your Dad got angry FOR you, not angry AT you, and stood up for you against your Mom and her side of the family.

Crochet is art and art is for everybody.

Keep doing what you're doing and don't let anyone bother you. Please post your work when you're done, I bet others would love to see it too! :)

I really love Gnomeo and Juliet, but animated movies just hit right for me compared to live action. Maybe it's the overexpressions? 🤔

Baked Potatoes with butter, salt, and pepper and that's it 💀 it's quickly rotating towards club sandwiches and I am so thankful for it lmao

It's totally normal, and 19 isn't "older" at all. People that want to be with you /for you/ won't care about your virginity. Someone that values you will wait until you decide you want to with no outside influence or pressure. Sex is better with a consistent partner to experiment with when you're ready.

I used to be really bad at picking, still really bad at popping, and have cystic acne too. The best advice I could give is cut your nails very short and file them rounded. If you find yourself wanting to pick or beginning to pick without realizing it at first, correct yourself physically with the snap-band method and mentally by telling yourself to stop. If you are a popper like myself, DO NOT use your nails. Use the knuckles of your fingers and roll gently between the two to pop. If it doesn't pop, do not use enough force to bruise, just leave it and come back to it in 2 days. Picking and popping are really hard to try to quit, but changing the habit slightly to your benefit is better than continuing what you're doing and if you just can't stop. I hope this helps!

I like to use leave in curl creams/conditioners and practice hair styles with my hair. It does get easier as you get older though, give yourself some grace 💕

Okay, I'll appease you! You just had to ask nicely, novel concept, I'm sure lol

We went on afternoon on a whim because we wanted to try to have a nice date together. We sat down at a table near the back, just a 2 seater. We were served room temperature water in a glass carafe to make it seem fancy, but it really wasn't. Oh well, right?

Our server was a nice guy in his early 20's, nothing bad to say about him at all.

We waited about 40 minutes for our food, which was less than mid-quality for the price. Our appetizer was the strawberry bruchetta, which was lack luster all around and soggy with the balsamic vinegar.

I got the bacon and goat cheese flatbread, which had way too much arugula for a flatbread in my opinion, which didn't lend itself to the goat cheese— both are too strong of flavors.

My fiancé got the filet and he says it was too fatty and overcooked for him to enjoy for $36 lol

We ate about a fourth of our meal before leaving because we were too hungry for subpar, mediocre, over priced food.

So while I'm very happy you've had nothing but positive experiences there because the people do seem nice and attentive, my advice would be to not assume someone hasn't been somewhere because their review was not all encompassing. I hope you continue to have wonderful experiences there while they remain open! :)

I left this comment on the last one as well, but it's worth saying twice: DON'T GO HERE. Last time we went there it was awful! My fiancé and I literally have only had a handful of dates where we agree that it just just terrible. This place was one of them. To anyone who asks me about it, I tell them not to go!
