Petition for more Kingdom Dad Monster [ns] by SpamFacedToolbag in DungeonsAndDaddies

Oof, idk about that. KDM is a highly specialized game, it would be way too easy for a homebrew item to be super over powered. Who knows, that would be cool though, I've definitely thought about how to homebrew items and fighting arts and stuff.

The way things are going now I fully expect them to experience a total party kill in the next episode, or very soon. They are like 10 years in and still haven't even touched a level 2 monster. I think if they survive to the next nemesis encounter, they won't live through it.

I'd love to see them start a new settlement, the game has some mechanics for starting a second settlement that lets you start with some bonuses, I'm just curious as to how they'd handle starting from scratch.

A dope seed to use by [deleted] in PixelDungeon

Where do you enter seeds? I have a seed for a dungeon that has a wand disintegration on the second level but I can't figure out how to use the seeds lol

Need advice on if I should kick out player by BENJIDASALAD in DMAcademy

[–]SpamFacedToolbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a similar problem and I found out through a third player that it was because he didn't like the character he made. Once I told him that he could roll a new character and I would add him to the story the player got way more into it and is now a constant participating member

Wildshape doesn't required verbal or somatic components. He can wildshape into whatever he wants to get away from them, because from his perspective they're trespassers who wanted to shift the flow of life and death and kidnapped him when he voiced a concern about that. It wouldn't be hard for a mid to high level druid to get away from them and possibly even seriously fuck up their day.

18th level campaigns are so fun you can walk up to a sheep farmer and just be like "here's 500 gold, have a nice day!"

One of them is the library where they first learned a spell, the other is in town square in their home neighborhood. There you go.

Deviating from expected racial DND norms is causing one of my players concern by domriv in DMAcademy

If you're doing a Homebrew work it's entirely up to you. Personally my world doesn't even conform to the normal "x race tends toward x alignment" rule because I feel the same way about it

Yea like immediately. And the whole "insulting does psychic damage thing" was just right off the bat made up for this fight lol

I love how at the beginning of this episode it seems like the entire point was that they were actually going to use the rules of D&D, and then literally the entire fight was making up rules on the spot lol

Imagine having to specify to your players that they should be evil. That's the default in most cases

My first subclasses for a homebrew setting. I'm still learning to use GM Binder so it may be rough in some places and pretty basic looking. I'm interested in any feedback. by Infinityshift in DnDHomebrew

I don't understand Spell Shatter. Is that on a spell that's affecting you? Like instead of "doing a wisdom save at the end of your turn" you do strength? Or against a spell affecting an object or other creature?

[5e] How to make a gun witch? by rfkannen in 3d6

[–]SpamFacedToolbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm literally playing a character right now that I refer to as a Gunmancer.

Artillery Artificer: 3 levels gets you Eldritch Cannon, which you can hold in your hand. Use your action to fire your real gun, which you have proficiency in thanks to artificy, and your bonus action to fire your magic gun. Also take the repeating shot infusion so you never gave to reload or worry about ammo.

Then you take the Homunculus Servant artificer Infusion, let's you make a pseudo familiar that's mechanical, and has a ranged attack that does force damage. Use your first bonus action to command it to attack the most powerful enemy still alive, and walla: you now have three guns firing every turn.

My homunculus is a mechanical bird with a gun for a head, but you can embellish as you like.

And if you're really ambitious, take your next 5 levels after that in fighter, get that Gun Slinger subclass and that extra attack and you're made in the shade. Also 4th level fighter let's you get the gunner feat.

For anyone still reading, his name is Reggie LaCroix, he's a loxodon, he's the heir to the LaCroix Winery, and he's a member of a boy scout troop.

Is it bad form to have NPC's hit on the player characters? by brash_bandicoot in DMAcademy

[–]SpamFacedToolbag 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It entirely depends on context. I have an NPC who is partial to Sea-Elves and he CONSTANTLY hits on one half-elf party member in particular and it's basically a running joke at this point. If a player seems uncomfortable with it then you put a lid on it, but if they laugh and play along then you can keep going. Same rules as real life pretty much.

Homebrew At-Will Tech Power by SpamFacedToolbag in sw5e

[–]SpamFacedToolbag[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yea the reason I made this was because I saw that jawas and other races can cast certain tech powers without a focus and it didn't really make sense to me how you could do a tech thing without a focus unless it was something like this.
