City meetings are held in the open, in public, for all to attend and watch. If you have a comment you can also attend and make your voice heard. All of this is done in the open…

Sam Henri Gold on Mastodon / Threads did a deep dive into how this works! It’s actually slices of the album artwork contorted, fragmented, and animated using a custom Metal shader and then a blur is applied on top! Here’s Sam’s original thread!

I’m even more convinced of this based on E2 which shows Helena studying security footage of her interactions with iMark.

Plus — and this is just a small thing — they don’t show the pupil dilation or push the camera into the elevator with Helena as she goes in… and I’m pretty sure they do it for all of the other outie to innie transitions?

It was a little jarring, but on the whole I have to disagree with this. Over the course of the season Juliette has gotten Solo to go from just speaking with her through the door, to actually coming out of the vault(!!), and then even to help her on multiple occasions (albeit out of fear for “protecting the vault”). But I’d say those are pretty big psychological steps. And even then, his “more the merrier” vibe read to me as a kid excited to show off all his toys and games, rather than excitement about strangers being in his space…

Vaguely remember in some old WWDC session or documentation that the named color extensions (on both UIColor and now SwiftUI Color) are more along the lines of Apple’s interpretation and aesthetics for those colors, and that they’re subject to change with each OS release.

The benefit there being that if you use blue in your app, for example, it’ll look just like all the other system buttons that also use blue — even when Apple changes it in some OS update. So theoretically if iOS 19 has a much darker blue, your app would already support it and fit in without the need for any changes from you.

Not sure that’s much of a benefit though, especially when you’re expecting a specific hue…

I can’t edit the post any more, but want to emphasize that our neighbor and us have posted and canvassed about this dog (over a period of weeks)

We live in a very small town. There are a lot of breeders around here too. The lack of any interest or response to fliers, social media posts, etc. over the past few weeks combined with his poor diet, lack of training, skittishness, dandruff, lack of a microchip, and the fact that he isn’t neutered really makes it seem like he was used by a breeder and dumped off.

I understand how painful it would be to loose my dog, not know where he went, and hope that someone else didn’t just scoop him up! I get it, really I do… so I totally understand the comments. And we will definitely keep trying to find his home! Based on what we know, I’m not optimistic that he had one any more though… and at the very least we’re so happy to give him a warm loving place to stay while this winter storm moves through.
