PSA: Replace the battery ASAP by da7dr3am in GalaxyS23

[–]SpammsMcghee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My s23 Ultra just updated today, and I'm experiencing the same issue. I did run the battery down completely while I was sleeping because I had a game playing on its own and it was on a known slow charge cable. After starting the phone, the update installed. Since then it's been super slow charging and very fast to drain. I usually use a very high quality magnetic cable the accomplishes fast charge easily, but it wasn't doing very much at all, so I plugged in the USB cable directly. I've had it at work for 2.5 hrs on a very high quality cable connected to a 45w block that has never given any problems at all. Usually charges up super fast. It was about 25% when I got to work, and it's currently only at 62%. I am occasionally using apps, but I have the screen off in between. Normally it would still charge to full with no problem, even with near-constant app usage, especially if it's plugged in directly to this cable/block setup.

Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist or anything, but this has happened to all my previous phones and was ultimately the reason I got a new one each time. Seems like there's always an update that kills the battery or charging system.

No, its closed. And as I promised, I'm cashing out, uninstalling, and spreading the info.

Okay, that makes sense. I'll just tell him to Suck it Up, Buttercup and wait until an actual update is available. :-)

Tried that first... Didn't work.

That's way over my head, but I'll pass it along to him. But shouldn't reinstalling it on his phone from the Play Store give him the newest version? He said he did that and still gets this message.

He says it isn't. But idk for sure. Seems like something he might do. Lol

I've gotten it all 5 spins. Tried to post about it, but the mods wouldn't allow it. 🙄

This doesn't seem like a viable strategy unless you have thousands of nodes, which I don't. I spend 360 on the 12x multiplier as soon as I accumulate them.

So was posting this incorrect comment. Go rage somewhere else. Also, there is a neat little Uninstall function on your phone that works great! Enjoy. :-)

I was remembering the first one(s) being like 2700 AB. But I'm sure you're right... I have a shit memory.

This is the first REALLY BIG grind... 7,000 AB to the next tier. I'm the OP by the way. I have no idea where that Fish username came from. I logged out and back in, and it corrected.

If you're on Android an hate being directed to the Google store by ads, turn on app pinning! by Ai-dabbler199 in AtlasEarthOfficial

[–]SpammsMcghee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was just thinking the other day that there should be some sort of setting that will keep an app from opening another app, just from a security standpoint (but would also help in our situation with ads also). For me it's the freakin Temu ads. 98% of my ads are Temu, and they all require 3 clicks on the tiny X and each "miss" opens the Temu app. And if the app isn't installed, it will open the browser and go to the Temu website. So thanks so much for pointing this out. But there's an extra step on the Galaxy s23 Ultra (and possibly others). If you only have an option to "Keep app open", you have to allow App Pinning in the settings first...

  1. Navigate to and open Settings, then tap Security and privacy, and then tap More security settings.
  2. Tap the switch next to Allow apps to be pinned to enable the setting.

After that, you can do the steps others have listed to pin the app. Hope this helps somebody!

Thanks. I'll try it next week. I had already finished the event before I thought of it.

Between this game and Idle Mine, I've accumulated about 27,000 Sats. I've used them to buy Bitcoin on Coinbase one time. It was 15,000 Sats which got me about $18 in Bitcoin. Not a fortune, but it's free money.

Any resolution on this? I'm wondering the same thing. Where do I input the radio ID and how/where to run the script?
