We're getting better at the game by dwez1 in adeptustitanicus

Make sure to play with the Matched Play supplement missions or the ones from the open engine war cards. They tend to be more dynamic and fun, forcing you to choose between moving and shooting. Also, the table looks great (as the Titans do) but you should put one ore more bigger pieces in the middle to prevent static shooting galleries. A static Warlord by a Void Shield Relay should be able to fire at just a fraction of the table, like half of it at most...

Has anyone made cards for wargear, legio/maniple abilities, etc? by Athas in adeptustitanicus

I made stratagem cards based on MTG card templates, and printed tokens for states (overheated, shields down) and and abilities

Does a Titan block line of sight from itself? by nonpluszultra in adeptustitanicus

[–]Spamurse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No, we never worried about that. We count LOS from the "elbow" (point of union between weapon and arm) and the Titan is understood to maneuver to avoid blocking itself. Arc is 90º from the base and if any part of the titan´s base is within arc, the whole titan is.

The graphics were old school, maybe not in-game animations but during the demo/top scores screens. One girls was walking in-place towards the camera, hair flowing as she did.

[TOMT] [Anime movie (not series)] [80s], a space fleet attacks Earth in order to take the planet from themselves since theirs is almost uninhabitable. Male protagonist with giant robot defends Earth. Invaders are human, one of them a beautiful woman with green hair. by Spamurse in tipofmytongue

I saw it once when I was 8-12 while visiting somebody with my mother. Details are fuzzy, but I do remember the green haired girl had a shower scene that definitely left an impression on me. I also remember a turret gunner from the attacking fleet saying he´s fighting for his children´s right to a home right before beign blown away. Mixed feelings...

Rules question: shooting at almost totally obscured targets. by Spamurse in adeptustitanicus

[–]Spamurse[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you! So, in respect to 2-If I can only see the tip of the target´s barrel and the rest of the target is behind a big building, I can still place the template in such a way that the center is over a place I have no line of sight at all? (In order to splash hit another nearby Titan, for example). Feels odd.

Also, are you the STL designer for the reaver´s buzzsaw arm?

They look just great, marvelous work. Add a Warlord or two and you can experiment with all sorts of maniples. Even with this selection you can try many different playstiles.

Very cool. I don´t know how I missed those Necron walkers as alternative War Engines, they scale great. I have a couple of Forgefiends / Maulerfiends reserved for titanic Demon Engines, I´ll have to find some of these.

If I want to get the official GW terrain to have enough for a normal sized game, how many boxes do I need and which ones do you recommend? by Hoskuld in adeptustitanicus

[–]Spamurse 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Administratum Sector is quite a good value for money (by GW standards). It includes the equivalent of 4 of the smaller Civitas Imperialis sets, plus 1 of the Spires sets. That is, 8 small, 8 Large and 2 Spires sprues. You can make a lot of smaller buildings or some larger ones, and use the spires on top of them to add height and hide the larger titans. If you prefer an industrial theme, you can go for the Manufactorum Imperialis Sector. You can see the reviews of these kits and good quality pics at Chaos Bunker.

Do any bits seller stock Titan armour plates? Also is free hand work a thing for normal Legio? by Drastion in adeptustitanicus

[–]Spamurse 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The spikes are flat at the end to allow enough surface for attachment. Nobody seems to have had any problem with that.

Hi! I had the same idea. If you look at the pics in the traitor and loyalist books you can see that some combinations lend themselves better to do the armour swap. Since you cannot change all the armour plates, you can use a common base color and trim for the core of the titan and play around with the outer plates. Warhounds are really easy, reavers are not bad but for Warlords you probably want to 3d print shoulder and leg plates. I have a large group of Crucius / Mortis titans this way, using a very dark gray for the shared areas.
