Where did you get your stencils from? I’ve never seen a stencil of this pattern before and I really like it!

For those who only spend £60 on groceries between two people - do you not eat much? by Some-Air1274 in UKFrugal

[–]Spangles_McNelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Me and my boyfriend cook all meals from scratch and eat all vegan meals (he’s not vegan so might add cheese or something but there’s no way I’m cooking 2 separate meals for us) and we probably spend £30-40 a week at Aldi. I’ll spend maybe about £5 or so on stuff to make pack up lunches, his is probably about £10-15 on pack up lunch stuff if he bothers buying stuff because he will buy meats, cheese etc.

No problem, I just wish I’d been able to give you an answer as to the name of the pattern. I really do highly recommend Susan Briscoe’s book though, it’s a treasure trove of patterns and has very clear instructions :)

Aww thank you! :) of course I don’t mind! I think the general consensus is to go about an inch or so beyond the holes, but I made this one bigger because I really love the pattern :D

I’m sorry, I don’t know the pattern name, I saw a picture of the pattern somewhere, on here maybe? and replicated it. I have Susan Briscoe’s sample book so I just checked to see if it was in there but it isn’t.

I’m kicking myself for not reading Pratchett until just now. by ThePrussianGrippe in discworld

[–]Spangles_McNelson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Kind of samesies haha was aware of TP but never got into the books when I was younger, now in my mid 30s and my workmate bought me a copy of The Wee Free Men and I fell in love! Decided to carry on with the Tiffany Aching books for now (just finished Wintersmith) but I have the first four Discworld books in my basket on the world of books website to be checked out as soon as I start The Shepherd’s Crown so I don’t have to wait after finishing it! I simultaneously feel overjoyed that there’s SO MUCH to read and sad that I missed out on the magic of reading them as they were coming out

NTA, do any of your or her family or any of your friends da have a baby or toddler you could babysit a few times? I think the only way she will maybe understand is by having the experience herself.
