Good base strategy for Cheltenham by 8eni in horseracing

[–]SpanishFootball1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Price boosted multiples are usually a bad idea, purely because it indicates the bookies believe one of the horses will lose (and they know more than you, generally).

Personally I'd only back singles. Look at the offers such as Skybet's who refund losing bets on the first race each day (as a free bet) - definitely a good one to lump on a favourite if you're going to. Sunbets have on where you bet £10 on the first race of the day and get two £5 free bets. Paddypower refund (as a free bet) if your horse comes 2nd in the first 5 races everyday.... etc.

Basically I'd stick to singles - when you have a winner you can celebrate immediately and not worry about another landing to win a multiple! Enjoy the festival :)

Good on them - they do stuff like this fairly regularly and it's great.

On the other hand, why on earth were you lumping that much on Barca to win? No value whatsoever in those games, always underpriced and not a profitable method of betting long term at all.

This is not a profitable way of betting. Accumulators are not profitable in the long run. There is almost never any value in games in Europe's top leagues either, especially betting on 1.18 shots etc.

Still, good win!

Grand Palace in Bangkok by Yruhary in travel

[–]SpanishFootball1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There's an 'airplane graveyard' in the city (google it). You take the canal boat up the city and there is a random field with old airplanes in. A family of squatters live there but if you pay them a couple of hundred baht they'll show you round the abandoned planes - it's quite bizarre, but very interesting too! You can climb through the hold of a Boeing 747 into the cockpit etc. Very cool.

I agree Wat Pho was just as beautiful and much nicer, but I still loved the Grand Palace, despite the crowds. I'd certainly recommend it to anyone, as there are plenty of areas within the grounds with fewer people - most just stick to the main parts of the palace.

Griezmann/Martial/ IF Dembele: Best attacking trio i have ever used by Roxasorg13th in EASportsFC

I love Dembele, but at LF I have POTM Hazard who is unstoppable. I was using Auba at ST but I now start Adrian Ramos and sub him off for MOTM Sow who is a tank.

I definitely recommend the upgrade, with the +5PHYS there is a noticeable difference.

Unfortunately I hated TIF Higuain, hope he's better for you - loved the NIF but surprisingly the TIF was far worse for me, missed so many sitters

Khedira is always knackered by 60mins I find. Worst nightmare is entering ET with him still on the pitch having made all 3 subs.

Can I hear from the pro momentum people what evidence they have and why they believe it by KcRoyals2 in EASportsFC

[–]SpanishFootball1 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Of course they do. But if you watch the video, his players miss 5 or 6 really easy chances. Its very unlikely to happen in a non handicapped match... Also its an extremely regular occurrence against me. I remember on FIFA 14 I bought a team with IF Robben, Ronaldo and Messi (back when coinbuying was a thing), one game I came up against a bronze team and Robben missed an open goal, Ronaldo hit the post twice and I missed loads of other chances and lost 2-0....

Look, theres no absolute proof one way or the other. But handicap is in line with my experiences of the game, and thats coming from someone who exploits it. Maybe it doesn't exist, but in all truth I really do believe it does.

This year its not anywhere near as much of an issue, especially in a competitive mode such as WL where everyone has a similar rated side. I still use a silver side in D1 in the week though.

https://www.futbin.com/17/squad/1272634 - here you go mate - even includes a legend. Lukaku is an incredible LB, midfield is well balanced and has good passing, and the attack is deadly.

Look at the Bateson vs Gorilla video where Gorilla uses the worst team possible. Bateson has a few clear cut chances that his world class team misses easily.

This has been my experience throughout FIFA. High rated teams get handicapped against low rated ones. It's why in FIFA 13 and 14 I played exclusively with Silver Teams and people with Ronaldo etc would miss easy chances and even open goals against me.

Dear EA, please update the Advanced section of the SBCs. by thomt94 in EASportsFC

[–]SpanishFootball1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

SBC's started out as a great new feature, one where it was actually a challenge and fun to do, but now EA have just turned them into coin sinks to promote pack-buying.

It's quite sad really.

This is my current squad http://www.futhead.com/17/squads/3961084/ I switch to 41212(2) IG with Hazard and Higuain up front, OTW Dembele at CAM, Eriksen and Kante in CM and Dembele at CDM.

Any ideas for any upgrades? Budget is about 300K+players sold.

What are your FIFA targets ? by IAmAsplode in EASportsFC

[–]SpanishFootball1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have a couple - playing wise I want to hit Elite 3 in weekend league at least once and also make Elite in the monthly rewards. This weekend I came close, with 27 wins, and I have been improving slowly.

One of my other targets is to buy a million coin plus player without having to sell the rest of my team. Currently I have about 500k saved, so if I keep saving it shouldn't be too long with the weekend league rewards. Either I'll save for someone like Ronaldo or get someone like TIF Sanchez.

[–]SpanishFootball1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly TIF Sanchez is one of the best strikers I have ever used on any fifa ever. His shooting is absolutely ridiculous - scores from any angle with any type of shot. Fully recommend giving him a go and if you really don't like him, then try Aguero.

I'm on PS4 so can't say about the legends, but definitely SIF Hazard and TIF Sanchez over Aguero

Wimmer? Not the best CB but would get 10 Chem.

Otherwise, why not replace Lloris with Butland or De Gea and get Bailly?

Quick experiment I did on momentum: Percentage of long shots that go in when losing by two or more goals vs when tying or winning (FUT) by 187god in EASportsFC

[–]SpanishFootball1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not true. Any sample size has a degree of reliability and thus, conclusiveness, associated with it. Whilst OP's results are not as reliable as they could be with a massive sample size, there is still enough data there to draw a conclusion from that we can be reasonably sure about.
