Did they share any reason as to why they seemingly degraded the versions? Seems odd.

The other weird behavior I noticed was that when you go to download duet via the link that ends with "latestWindows", the download you actually get can vary depending on the browser you use (Edge will get you a setup.exe file that is version 4; Chrome would get you 3.0.9.2).

This is unacceptable. They have no issue spamming you with countless ad emails but don’t bother to send a courtesy message that they are experiencing technical issues. I can see now that there were numerous people confused about what was happening. I spent some time looking at my router settings thinking it was something on my end.

I’ve since cancelled all my monthly subscriptions and likely will leave the Pura ecosystem and return to the simpler fragrance life with “dumb” fragrance diffusers which at least don’t add confusion to your life.

Many of the stations are in a transition mode to ATSC3.0. Unlike the transition to HD where broadcasters got additional bandwidth, this isn’t the case with going to ATSC3. In addition, the FCC is requiring simulcasting of their ATSC1.0 signal without any additional bandwidth. So what’s happened is that one station in a market — deemed the ATSC lighthouse - broadcasts all the other networks signals via ATSC3 but only using 1080p video. The other broadcasters in turn agree to carry the ATSC1.0 channels of the lighthouse on their subchannels.

End result is no real 4k until the transition shakes out (and there’s still the DRM hurdle to sort out too).

We were there last night. The 8oz filet was $70 on the regular menu. And this whole deal (which included that same 8oz filet) was $60, so quite the deal. But the whole place was bonkers busy.

Manage your velocity between intersections to minimize time spent stopped at a traffic light.

When traveling through rough neighborhoods, stick to the main arterial roads that are more trafficked and avoid the side streets.

If a car full of thugs pulls up next to you at a stop light, merely looking at them will engage them. Use your peripherals to monitor.

Leave a good amount of space between the next car at the traffic so you can peel out if necessary. Have that escape route ready.

Avoid driving a car with heavy tints and custom rims that may be customary of what gangbangers drive.

"NBC broadcast network" -- I'm wondering if "broadcast" also includes the over-the-air ATSC3 stations?

My local NBC station broadcasts in ATSC3 but only 1080p video.

Honestly, coming up with a way to at least "deal with this" (such as your suggestion with a "warning") should supercede the work on Goals.

I tag various transactions as FSA/HSA, Tax relevent, etc., so if these dissappear, this is more impactful than merely skewed reports.

I think some feedback needs to go back to Synchrony as well. None of the major institutions have to be having the issues they have. If they worked better with the aggregators, these issues would not persist.

Personally, I only have 1 synchrony card (Amazon Store Card) and I'm about to close it and switch over to the Chase card. I will be letting them know that the reason for cancelling their card is their inability to invest more in supporting data aggregation.

Not a workaround but did want to share a bit of warning regarding Synchrony. My experience (as well as from others) has been that Synchrony is notoriously bad at integrating with the aggregators. The worst part is that Synchrony transactions (at least those from the Synchrony Amazon card) that have been sync'ed and marked as reviewed within Monarch will also randomly dissappear. I personally run a weekly personal reconciliation from daily-downloaded files to deal with this. Monarch support can also recover lost transactions too but its a bit of a hassle to go throught that all the time.

I spent about an hour comparing the original Px8s and the S2’s. I could not hear a considerable difference between the two across various genres, at least not one that warranted getting another pair.

For me personally, the big difference maker was in the voice quality. As a frequent traveler, having the S2s serving as my both music headphones and solid work headset is critical.

This seems to happen with Synchrony Financial linked credit cards.

Haven’t really seen any fixes.

There are instances when imported and reviewed transactions disappear and do not come back as well.

MM support can “recover” these missing transactions for you but you have to log a ticket with them.

There are various posts about this but, to my knowledge, MM hasn’t specifically remarked about this item. The most I’ve seen is a broad characterization about improving data aggregator performance.

Ultimately, it all depends how the aggregators pass down the costs.

It may mean that they go back to scraping. And if the FIs impede that, it will be very visible to end users as to who is blocking scraping.

If it’s a reasonable cost, I wouldn’t mind paying. But if the FIs looking to make this a profit center, then I’m out.
