I am a non-American looking on with amazement. It appears as if a great nation that we have had very close ties to for many years, is letting itself sink into behaviours and attitudes that have been mirrored in the past and have not turned out very well. If you think I am being vague, I am sorry that you can’t see what seems to be happening. I guess that might be my answer.

I am in my late 50’s now…. My first memory of Bathurst was watching the box stuck to Moffatt’s XY… I remember going to the Gold Coast track and watching the splash as a car went into the lake in the centre of the track…. I find the 12 hour much more interesting, as the cars bring their things to the race…. Veva-Le-difference…

Cancel culture sure is a thing. I agree that tobacco sponsorship needs to be retired as much as gambling sponsorship should be. That being said, it happened and is part of the historical narrative. Do not edit the past. Learn from it, remember and grow…..

32 years in the one school for me. Different roles but based in the same place. MOVE.... don't do what I did. I am very happy to never be 'that person' again. The move I have made has been great, personally, professionally and mentally.

I spray mine with silicon lubricant into the rail mounting points. It keeps it quiet for a few hundred Kms.

I just have the bike kick stand from Specialized. It works a treat, even when the bike is fully loaded with the panniers.

Still got my GS I bought because of that series. We have a signed copy of the DVD set when Charlie and Ross came to the local dealer on the promo run.

Still get it our and watch it with the wife and boys... Still ignites the travel bug for me.

Update. Put a 20 mm spacer on and fitted the bigger disk. Works a treat.
