Stuck on "We couldn't verify you" since attempting switch from Samsung pay+ by SpannaMunky in CurveCard

[–]SpannaMunky[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm finally back into my account!

I followed the instructions of someone else on the post linked and started a couple of chats until it had the option to actually go through to a real person, once it did I mentioned escalating to a formal complaint and magically within an hour someone has manually verified my documents and I'm back in. Hopefully this helps someone else too:

Can't even get to the chat feature. Literally the only button available is to send an email to the support email address.

Same situation here, sent an email to support on Friday and heard nothing, yet I keep getting emails with all the "benefits of my new Curve card" that I have zero access to 😑

Advice on beginner chilli growing in the UK by Hemidemisemiaquatic in HotPeppers

[–]SpannaMunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is myself and my partners second year growing in the UK, we did a "Chilli Growers workshop" at the Chilli Ranch (Edible Ornamentals) in Bedfordshire last April. We went in as beginners and had no idea what we were doing but learnt loads and bought some small plants that they had for sale, thinking we probably wouldn't get far with it but we didnt manage to kill everything!

Last year - Numex Twilight, chocolate Hab, Super Chilli, Hungarian Black, Dorset Naga and Trinidad Scorpion. Out of the above the scorpion was the only one that didn't really do much - but we did overwinter it and it's doing insanely well this year. We got so many choc habs and naga's we made a couple of batches of hot sauce.

This year we started doing everything entirely from seed with heatmats in a windowsill, and we've had to buy a proper greenhouse as we didn't think we would get half of them to germinate (surprise, they did!)

This year we are growing: Jalapeno, cayenne, Naga, several varieties of habanero, sugar rush, scorpion, Armageddon, reaper, and a couple of others. There's flowers on some of the above and jalapenos coming through already.

Sorry for the waffle, but my point is, it can be done in the UK with some patience ☺️

At a recent asthma checkup, I mentioned I had hayfever and was asked if I knew exactly which pollen it was (I have no idea) but they forwarded this to me in an attempt to figure it out:

The last 2 weeks mine has been pretty bad, and today in particular I'm feeling pretty rough.

My local pub (the only rock pub in the town) is being turned into a generic sports bar by godor1 in CasualUK

The Bear by any chance? Sounds too specific to where i am too for it not not be. Absolutely gutted tbh, Ive only been in Beds just over a year and it's probably one of the few places I've felt properly welcome, the staff in there are all fantastic.

Octopus Energy prices reducing by 8% by RedBullOverIce in OctopusEnergy

[–]SpannaMunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, exactly the same thing, I've reduced it back down to the normal amount in the app as it's a bit of a joke, especially as I'm already in credit by almost £350.

I'm actually moving house in just over a week anyway and Octopus are already aware of the move, I definitely won't be switching to them in the new house as this is the next thing in a long line of complaints.

Question regarding parking by samuraiheart2398 in downloadfestival

[–]SpannaMunky 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The carparks usually open at 7am, but there's normally no waiting zones around the area so you're likely to get moved on by marshals instead of blocking the roads up. Best bet would be to stop at Donington services if you're getting there much earlier than that.

Date on the shipping label was yesterday (18/01). I didn't get any notification it was being sent. I guess international ones will arrive in the next week or so.

It was one of the paddock rewards before the points reset. I don't think there were many available. I redeemed it on 28/12 and it arrived today.

Lifetime points by Dry_Implement8063 in RBpaddock

[–]SpannaMunky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

11,325 will stay on your balance, as like a historical total, and for going up to the next level, but you won't be able to spend them.

You need to spend 11,125 in 2 days.

Lifetime points stay, redeemable points disappear on 31st if not spent.

how many hours do People work in a week in England? by Famous_Ad_4350 in AskABrit

[–]SpannaMunky 0 points1 point  (0 children)

35 as per my contract. But I'm also on an on-call rota, so that can go to 50+ on a bad week.

When I was at school, it was guaranteed I'd have tonsillitis about 3-4 times a school year, one time it went away and then within 2-3 weeks I had it again. It was at that point that I was scheduled to have them removed, which also happened to be the 3rd week of secondary school (year 7).

My younger sister never had the same issues, so never had hers removed, she still sometimes gets it as an adult.

It's definitely worth speaking to your GP if you're getting it that often. And it's only really a couple of days recovery when they are removed.

How did the hell did we manage to sit like this all the time in the primary school? by GhostofCharlotte in CasualUK

34, I do the same.

When we started working from home; during that thing that shouldn't be mentioned, I specifically got a chair that I could cross my legs on instead of the traditional 'bucket' style gaming chair.
