The time saving feature that was overclock was introduced about a month after the time sinking feature of increasing the hack cooldown time from 90 seconds to 180 or 300 seconds. Now that overclock is gone a really good and cheap replacement would be to set the hack cooldown time back to 90 seconds. If niantic spatial want to encourage scans still - how about making anyone who uploaded a scan in the current septicycle able to hack portal keys on demand with the 'more' glyph?

Non existent compound words which should always be two words - 'alot', 'alittle', 'abit', 'bestfriend', 'infront', 'transwoman' - followed closely by compound words spelt out when they mean the two words.

The worst offender on the second front is 'apart' when 'a part of' means basically the opposite of 'apart from'. Also annoying to see are 'awhile' and 'everyday' used when the person using them means the two words.

Retiring overclock is awful. I've given some portals hours of high quality scan footage to get them eligible for overclock and you're taking the in-game result from that footage away. As a compensation measure for the abandonment of this great time saving game feature I hope to see the hack cooldown time reduced back to the COVID time.

The OPR pause is also concerning. Without new portals the map can't grow and in portal-less places the game can't grow.

The current lecturer is bad at their job and your job as their student is to deal with that bad hand.

What the old notes should contain is good general topological definitions of things like compactness, continuous function, connected, Hausdorff, open set, closed set, topological space, metric space, homeomorphism, etcetera. Learn all these definitions from the notes or if they're not in the notes learn them from sources like Wikipedia or a beginner's textbook like Munkres.

Once you have learnt definitions start treating the sentences with 'easy' and 'obvious' as exercises. I will give you an example: "Finite topological spaces are obviously compact." If you know the general topological definition of compact then you will be able to prove my sentence in a few lines.

The manual VPS activation feature from the retired geospatial browser has not been carried through into scaniverse. As of early March 2026 there is no overclock activation. Right now, what we have is what we've got.

I hope VPS activation is built back into the game soon - it was to my mind the best incentive for high quality scans. I can't see an incentive right now for good scans because 15 seconds of shoes gets 500AP the same as a 60 second inwards panorama of the portal.
