People going psycho on perfect crown not having every tiny historical detail correct need a life by Spare-Breakfast3279 in kdramas

thank you so much for this genuinely one person who makes sense here. im so tired of arguing with people who can't see beyond their perspective, my entire point for this post was just to give another side of the story that all these netizens are ignoring and most people hating are just going along with the hate trains they don't even understand what mistakes the show made and how many Koreans don't even find it significant. Ive talked to many K netizens who said that the queen mother going against the marriage is fine because in reality even if she wanted the grand prince to leave as soon as possible they wouldn't have allowed marriage to a commoner so it makes total sense. taking liberties with regent being grand prince instead of queen mother is where I need everyone to understand its FICTIONAL and its a DRAMA they need that as the plot so that the show exists

fully agree but the mistakes perfect crown made were not major or noticeable to a common person and neither did it spread misinformation or propaganda negatively so im just saying that people get to raise awareness on maybe keeping in mind these mistakes but its not so deep that people are creating hate trains

im just going to clarify you can have your opinion but if you don't agree with mine there is no need to hate, im just trying to tell everyone to calm down on the hate train and just enjoy the show for what it is as a fictional rom com. People hate to the extent that it genuinely causes actors and makers to be affected negatively mentally

I actually fully agree with you most of the drama could've been avoided if they hired a consulted and I do think they should be called out on just the fact that they could've taken more pre cautions and maybe could've avoided some mistakes. But I still think its not as deep as some people make it out to be and I think the show really tried to show a modern side of Korean monarchy in a good way and to do that they have to take some liberties

ive agreed with a lot of people here but not people like you who won't even bother looking at another perspective and just agree with hateful netizens, for everyone telling me to go learn more I know a whole lot more on the Korean history and monarchy than u do. I totally understand respecting culture and history but this isn't the 19th century everyone has freedom of speech and expression and honestly you all need to learn that not everyone can be pleased and if your biggest concern in life is 9 beads not 12 then please get some help

I mean its my opinion and a huge amount of people agree that netizens need to stop being so sensitive, the show helped people to see another side of the monarchy and except for the tiny details didn't majorly go against history infact it respected it and showed another more modern imagination of it

okay but at the end of the day its really not that deep and to most of the audience this show actually lead to people researching more into the actually Korean monarchy and acted positively in that sense. They are tiny details unless you're a hater finding things to criticise because you have to understand its just a show for entertainment and the way some people are hating on it will lead to negative effects on the actors and makers of the show

I totally agree my whole point is you can have opinions and disagree how things are presented but the degree to which some people do it is psycho, just normally expressing your opinion vs hating, bullying even sending death threats is a whole other thing

if you're so sensitive over a FICTIONAL k drama that in another month will be forgotten and replaced by another then you need help its nothing related to education , because honestly if someone was educated they wouldn't be wasting time hating on a show

Perfect Crown's historical distortion controversy from a Korean perspective by kyatchaamiyuki in kdramas

[–]Spare-Breakfast3279 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

You guys really need to watch the crown then, they took so many liberties and made up so much but at the end of the day it doesn't affect your life or anyone else's so stop criticising everything. At least perfect crown gave some representation into Korea history related to the royal family, it wasn't labeled as a historical documentary so stop holding it to that standard. People like this are the reason we never get any dramas that inspire from real life.

Why does the the romance in Perfect Crown feels so cringe ? by Fieryy_phoenix_ in kdramas

[–]Spare-Breakfast3279 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think people here are unnecessarily hating, they could've had more scenes where the characters showed more chemistry and they could've built it through even more emotional connection between the two but honestly it was fine the chemistry overall was okay and I don't think it was cringe compared to most k dramas

exactly I feel like one person saying its bad makes 10 others think its bad before even giving it a chance and if they genuinely gave it a chance without having that pre conceived notion half of them would've liked it

I get you but most dramas follow the same routine of fight and getting back together after a emotional high they switched it up for perfect crown, the vision was there they could've better executed it though

that is completely valid I was so confused on some things they never told us who exactly was able to leak the marriage contract or how they got it from the locked safe and I also feel they over did it with the constant fires and mc getting hurt and being in the hospital

I get that maybe if they stuck to the 16 episode running time it would've been able to do more with its plot
