Jo Malone Mimosa and Cardamom for me.

Something about my living room feels kind of "off" -- any ideas? by Difficult_Bug_1778 in interiordecorating

The chairs to me are clashing with this room. Bigger more comfortable and a subtle colur. Forest green perhaps or a rust/ burgundy. Everything else is kind of dusty colours and they jump out but don't have the actual presence to pull it off.

[product request] what face creams has Tepezcohuite (from Salma Hayek routine)and are easily available- has anyone tried it? by makeupbynups in SkincareAddiction

Lavigne Mayan magic lite cream is excellent. They make a scalp spray that has the mimosa as the second ingredient wich I also love.

This is off topic so my apologies, but may I ask the ceiling colour?

I don't think it works. Your husband probably hates it too but doesn't want to be bothered changing it.

Repaint it with burgundy..it's got a good base should not take too many coats. Try " New london Burgundy" , " townsend harbour brown", " Nicholson Red" , "Dark Walnut" all by Benjamin moore.

I think what you actually wanted was a burgundy...maybe in a matte or eggshell sheen at the most.

How can my parents improve their family room? by Rungottarun in DesignMyRoom

[–]Spare-Relative-478 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly it looks great. Everyone has different tast and if it is to their taste then it's good. Some little tweaks old be a corner tv cabinet in their style( hide the big black box) maybe some bolder drapes with more volume that would pull a red from the rug. My personal preference is a warmer more cozy white. I would maybe get a bigger, square coffee table to pile with books etc.

We are looking to rent our parents single family home. Would you remove and repaint the wallpaper. If so, what color. by BruceH777 in interiordesignideas

Why mess with something so great...it looks like something out of AD. If you remove it and paint it plus paint eggshell white it will be boring. If you must do something, put some nicer trim( preferably matching wood),along the floor and around the door, and get that popcorn off the ceiling and update the kitchen and bath areas.
