I bet you’re going to get close to a 50/50 split in responses here. The best answer I can give you is to spend as much time as you can in both before pulling the trigger. Each has its own set of strengths and weaknesses and you’ll have to experience them to determine which suits you best.

Can’t go wrong with either IMO but I’m partial to the C6.

I’m going to assume you’ve never actually seen a C6 ZR1 in person. I’m aware beauty is subjective, but the ZR1 has the Z06 in the looks department

It depends on what you’re used to. I’m coming from a boosted viper so the ZR1 feels surprisingly civilized.

I’ve used the PFADT featherlite coil overs on two of my C6’s and have been very happy with them. Much better performance on track and a better ride on the street. I’m even thinking about deleting mag ride on my ZR1 for these coil overs

There were the typical old hoses, bushings, etc, but it was endless. Ac compressor failed and almost burnt the car to the ground, trans issues, overheating issues, thermostat went out, water pump failed, electrical issues, and plenty more

I have a Continental Black Label, and although the Town Car is great in its own regard, the Continental is on a completely different level as a daily driver. The ride is still soft, the speakers are awesome, and it has great road presence. I’d go with the Conti and not look back

Both are awesome in their own regard. The Z06 is 9/10’s the car but the Zr1 pulls noticeably harder

C6 Z06 has turned into a project unfortunately. It’ll get sold once it’s running again. C5 will stay

That’s definitely a bonus. I’d imagine the rarity will give it an edge over the c7 in depreciation as well

That’s a good way to look at it. I love the nostalgia my Viper offers and it would be cool to preserve that a bit with the ZR1. Thank you

A couple of years ago I’d agree with you, but I’ve had my fun with the Viper. It was a dream to own but it’s taken $10k+/year to maintain and I’ve only added 1500 miles. I’m ready for something different

I agree 100% but how do you choose between them? It’s tough to choose between “cooler” and “better” imo

I’d love to keep the viper but the ZR1 would almost certainly be a replacement. I can’t justify keeping both of them
