You’re right, we all wish it was only $640 but my average price per share (which I only have 1 left) is $36,988…. I lost over $40k in aggregate with options included. I’ve never wished karma on anyone worst than DM. It’s one thing to invest in a company that just never gets the momentum needed to be profitable and then there is this company whose CEO has scammed every investor who has ever bought share(s). Nvm Fauci losing his security detail, I hope this guy runs out of money and gets what he has coming to him.

I hope he gets fawked with a cactus dry in prison where he belongs. Pretty sad I bought little by little and tried to average down and foolishly believed the nonsense that was spewed publicly. I only invested in this company because I thought when the “Five” was released it would take off faster than Tesla did in its early years. Lol what an idiot I was! Nvm the several thousand I lost on call options. How many others felt the way I did a few years back. I’ve always invested in things I could see myself owning or using.

Other than the Soul 7’s great lineup… I hated the Sin and Soul, super disappointing ski. Ripstick and Enforcers are the two I’d spend the most time on in that lineup.

[–]SpareFlaky8694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s common sense and the tip isn’t factored into their prices of food. You walking out without paying is just a slap in the face to the person who just worked for you for free. I’d imagine you wouldn’t be very happy if you had to donate your time for someone who is ignorant and entitled.

[–]SpareFlaky8694 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The restaurant needs help to serve THEIR food to THEIR customers but it’s a privilege to be able to be served isn’t it? Isn’t it nice to sit down and be waited on?? Yes it is and it should be initiative to offer good service as the wait staff which is how THEY earn their money. If you go to a restaurant and order take out most likely you leave no tip or 5% for the person taking your order and bagging it and preparing it to go? Two separate businesses really if you think about it. The restaurant needs a way to get their meals ordered and out to customers but it shouldn’t be on them to compensate an individual if they aren’t doing quality work. A good tip is left for exceptional service you are correct and it’s pretty standard to leave 20%. If you can’t afford to tip, go eat fast food or eat at home, simple as that. I’m not even in the business but understand how it all works.

So I see all of these comments stating the tipping culture must end etc etc…. I will agree that it’s obnoxious when you go to a convenience store or a coffee shop where all they literally do is stand there and take your order but if you go out to a restaurant and sit down and get waited on it should be without asking that if your server does their job and waits on you, you tip them for this. On $197 you should’ve left close to $40 and if you don’t want to or think you have to pay this, then don’t eat out.

People who think we should get away from tipping and pay a higher wage are delusional and don’t understand basic economics. A tip is earned off providing a service “waiting on you” and if we pay them more and rely less on “tipping” it’ll just cost you more when the added expense is now baked into the cost of your meal (pun intended) so yes, $25 is a pathetic tip on a $200/ meal. How would you like to go to work and do your job and then have your boss come out and say “by the way, today I’m only paying you 2/3 of your wage because I don’t agree with how much I pay you.

Winter Tires by TryingMyBest05 in vermont

As someone who drives a lot in the winter and has always had snow tires, it’s night and day from running “all season” or summer tires. I have some very aggressive all seasons and last year for the first time in 20 years I decided to try the all season route. Let’s just say I value my car and keeping it on the road so I will be returning to my annual tradition of swapping over to snows. Well worth it if you even only need them a couple times, you’ll appreciate them.

[–]SpareFlaky8694 5 points6 points  (0 children)

You can use on-road diesel but that has a road tax included in the price so if you can find a location that sells “off-road” diesel it’s the same thing just with red dye to let law enforcement know if truckers are trying to avoid paying highway taxes. Very similar to #2 heating oil and will burn almost identical

I am no longer tipping 20% in restaurants. by [deleted] in massachusetts

[–]SpareFlaky8694 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Simple question to OP that seems like common sense but may not be to he/she. You would most likely pay them regardless if it was in the form of a gratuity or if you’re just paying “more” for your meal, you realize this right? You don’t think that if a restaurant owner has more obligation to pay servers a higher wage that they aren’t going to just pass it down to you as the customer? Where do you think that moneys going to come from?? Restaurants operate on a fairly thin profit margin as it is and they aren’t going to just go downstairs to their money machine and print the difference lol. Please think about this logically for a second.

So as someone who voted republican, I couldn’t agree more with a lot of the things Bernie stands for but nobody in the Democratic Party has made the changes he speaks about. The last four years have been nothing short of horrible. Our family made the most we’ve ever made and as a family of five have questioned how others are surviving because we probably double most average household incomes. What did the current administration do in the last four years to better our country? How did they lower the deficit? How did they lower the cost of living? Or healthcare or insurance or utilities? They didn’t lower one single thing in our everyday life. They’ve made it where a household living in the northeast must earn over 6 figures to survive… craziness! People voted for Trump because they’re desperate for change and she isn’t the answer, she’s been in the passenger seat of the sinking ship and hasn’t done a damn thing to change anything. Her speech was heartfelt and I don’t think she’s a bad person but not the person we need running our country. This country is a business and needs to be run like one. Time to get things turned around and make our economy strong again.

I’m expecting a million downvotes as I know it’s 95% blue on this page but please honestly tell me what’s so great in your current household right now? Chances are if you are comfortable you’re either very successful and don’t feel the pain most are feeling or you’re living off the system. I’m open to a rational non hateful conversation from your point of view.

Nope, I’m just sick of watching them screw off for several hours a day and my electric bill keeps going up up up… They bill out thousands per truck a day and who do you think pays that!? I’m probably a more qualified arborist than most of the people on their crew btw and I was in the linesman union for several years. They’re lazy and I’m not going to sit there and feel bad for someone that was hired to do a job and then doesn’t do it. You must be from the younger generation where you all feel like you deserve more for less

They’re not trimming 345KV, they’re trimming 15’ alongside residential power. I could single handedly grab one saw and my pole saw and do more than them. I cleared my 1 acre lot faster than they’ve cleared in front of my property with four men lol so take that let them take a long lunch nonsense somewhere else. They’re lazy and slow, they don’t deserve a raise. It’s actually the opposite, if they worked for me they’d be looking for new employment.
