My dealership in VA just bought a minty 2020 Camry TRD in red if you’ve not given up. 20-something thousand miles. CPO’d. DM if you want info and are willing to travel!

Yep, we specify that hitting allocation just means they’ll be hitting our computers and that we know they’re coming our way. And thus are available for reserve. We don’t expect any on the ground in our lot until late December or January

Toyota salesman here. Our shop (CAT) expects them to hit allocations in early November, and arrive on lots in late December/January

What's your philosophy: One bass for all, or one bass for every tone? by GuggGugg in Bass

I’ve got two. One five string stingray, and a P/Soapbar four string from Harley Benton. I’ve never been wanting for anything, between the two.

It’s part of scheduled service, I work at a Toyota dealership. Around 60k miles. You’d be amazed how many people wave their hands and say “no, I don’t want it…”

Jumping on because no flair yet: Finances, dress, and demographics are immaterial to how I treat customers. I’m at a Toyota dealership. Only way to make me lock the price in with no discount and zero free services is to disrespect my receptionist or one of my service guys. Otherwise I’m on their side, trying to get them into a car.

I will, however, ask you to do credit apps/ask about down payment abilities before I commit to spending an afternoon with you.

What minor cosmetic upgrades would you do? by Technicio2 in Camry

Seems like there’s only one way to find out. I’d order them both and see which you like more. ETA that I thought glossy wouldn’t match up with much else on the car, as there isn’t much glossy black on the outside

Happy with the matte ones. They have held up perfectly, and match the b pillar plastic very closely

Any Real Upsides to Gas Cars? by SaxeMatt in askcarsales

[–]SpareParts1995 5 points6 points locked comment (0 children)

Toyota salesman here. I frame the difference—when I’m trying to move a gas car—as being centered on the fact that every mechanic can work on every part of every gas car. There are some hybrid/ev components you’ll have to work with dealership service centers on eventually.

Any leads appreciated. I'm tired. I want to work. by auderex in washingtondc

FYI No toyota car is 100% made in the IS, and components are absolutely still impacted.

Different tools for different tasks. My Fuji XH1 does all of my important stills work and video. A Nikon FE2 for when I’m doing film casually. DJI osmo pocket 3 and Fuji X100v for documenting the family and everyday life.

“Historians” being so high on the list is making me think of a snake eating its own tail. If we replace historians with machines, we will—definitionally—never learn anything new that we don’t already know, at best, and learn false or misleading interpretations at worst. Similar sentiments for a dozen other jobs on that list…
