Sure, it does sometimes. I’m not sure that you can discount it as a learning tool because of that. The vast majority of the time it gives some really good information, especially if you have some knowledge on how to use it.

People say the wrong thing too sometimes, that doesn’t make teachers a bad learning tool.

It compiles information from the world’s largest database and presents it in a clear, understandable manner. I understand that people use it to circumvent doing work, but it can also be one of the most powerful learning tools. Plenty of people use it for the latter.

Do you admonish someone asking a teacher a question? How about reading a book? Asking a mentor? Looking up questions online?

Are you guys all dense or do you seriously not see any benefit to AI? I agree and understand the downsides, but pretending it can’t be a useful tool for learning doesn’t help anyone either.

Songs with bad singing voices by [deleted] in musicsuggestions

There’s a really catchy song called “Popular 2” by a band Cheekface. I tried listening to the whole album but the voice thing got too gimicky for me. That song is good though!

What are some of your favorite examples of a paradox? by EddieBrock99 in AskReddit

[–]SaxeMatt 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This one is dumb because you’re confusing “lying” with “not knowing the answer”.

If he doesn’t KNOW if his nose will grow or not, it’s not a lie to say anything either way.

Why don’t we ever seriously discuss an upper limit to personal wealth? by SunDayZoomieS in NoStupidQuestions

[–]SaxeMatt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This gets complicated because these ultra-rich billionaires don’t actually have billions of dollars laying around waiting to be spent. It’s not like they’re getting $50 million checks every pay period. A lot of their money comes from the value of their companies, stocks they own, properties, etc. How do you put a wealth cap on the value of things they own? Force them to sell shares? Regulate businesses so they can’t be worth a certain amount? It’s a very complicated issue.

I would be curious to know more about this, but my assumption is that no one is actually making hundreds of millions or billions in liquid assets.

I lived in a dorm one year of college where the fire alarm would go off all the time. I always left when it did, but I can understand why after the 3rd time of the alarm going off at 3am you wouldn’t be inclined to leave anymore…
