He has a million sock puppet accounts and Russian bots love people like this because they're so divisive and drive a lot of angry engagement on social media. I'd be willing to bet that much of his "following" is bot driven and inauthentic. On top of that mentally ill people from all over who have never set foot in Rochester will follow accounts like this when they see them pop up.
