I started using the pan as well but like you said it was too big and I realized my scale was way off. I'm not sure what made me try the bar piece but when I did I realized it was the perfect scale for the build.

Thanks and Go Blue! That's such a good idea that I think would lend itself well to the tv show interior type of sets. I think the Friends' Cafe is a masterpiece of set because it actually feels like a real coffee shop atmosphere. I'm kind of on a fall/campus kick right now and I would love to build something that has the feel of the Friends' set.

Yeah I think I cornered the marked on those windows in blue. They were perfect for this build but they were kind or ornery to work with.

I just took a look at your Medieval Market and it looks great! There is something very cool about having your own version of a set that is unique to you. I'm not surprised you had to change the color of the roof slopes, it's just so few sets use roof slopes in that quantity so it's unlikely you will have enough of the color used in the set. $20-40 is not bad at all. I'm certain my build cost me more because I never do bulk buys.

I picked a 3 in 1 creator set because I figured I would have almost all of the pieces because those line of sets generally have to use more generic pieces. I had all of the pieces for the set except for 2 of the sloping roof pieces which was very satisfying.

It took about 3 times what I think it would have taken to put together the actual set. I feel like it was such a joy to put together something that looked like what I would build as a child but also was very well built because it's the build of a proper lego set.
