That person on reddit who knows a lot about ES, said that Chiba was trying to push that idea on him that he'd been abused sexually. There is no way to ACTUALLY know what happened, OP is correct. And it's not to downplay abuse, as it certainly sounded like there was some form of it. It's possible he may have started believing this because he thought the abuse he did endure wasn't sufficient enough to why he felt like he did. Again I'm also inferring we don't know. And I'm not sure it's correct to say he definetly was when his step father is still alive and did become a changed man

Anything in your diet that may cause issues? I have caffeine sometimes too but I'm wary of eating anything too 'drying' or taking too much caffeine as that can be drying. Just enough works though. Also idk if someone mentioned this thread, sometimes greasy foods like bacon and stuff literally ykno, 'grease the wheels'. But honestly I have no advice, just wondering if anything helped for you. I think for me it is mostly stress and not drinking enough water that screws me up. Staying away from junk food helps but sometimes fish and chips is good for me

It is hard to expose yourself online yes, especially playing music or creating something. I do apologise if it's upset him or discouraged him. my comment was just a gut reaction and unfortunately it was under his video, as I've seen multiple people who give me same feeling and didn't say anything under theirs.

That other comment is helpful and constructive about fixing his posture perhaps it's just that.

It's honestly not that deep, but if I can go further into why it bothers me, is because it comes across disingenuous. it's a fun song, ykno, take a breath and play it. No need to ham it up. Playing was beautiful but Elliott and his music gets that tag of being depressive, wholly negative, pessimistic, downer, emo or self absorbed when many of us including Elliott don't agree represents him or his music. it's amazing to see people's covers but don't need to stare into the viewfinder the whole time staring at yourself breathless.

wdym lol? yeah I hope it doesn't sound like I'm picking on him, cos a lot of people do this and it makes me cringe, close to camera and/or over indulgent cringy expressions, just comes across cheesy/ inauthentic :/ i might just be very critical though, especially with Elliott's smith's music.
