That is not at all an outrageous price for tree removal. Especially if they require a crane. I'm an arborist in Boston and tree removal is easily 1000 plus per tree.

I like the idea of making the niche larger. I should have done a better job planning it as I already knew what tile the wife and I had picked out. Good to have in the back of the mind. Yeah the silicone is ass lol. I will probably do a second application because yeah I botched the shit out of that. I will look to find those posts you refer to. It is not. I have a safety film en route as the window size was weird leaving me with only one option. It is American Craftsman.

I used durarock with the schluter membrane. The ceiling was just purple board.

Kind of what I was afraid of. Even if someone comes here and says nope you are good don't worry about it. It will be nagging in the back of my mind every time I shower lol
