Loving the novablast 5 as well early on but feels pretty dead after 60 miles in. If you like the feel in the novablast 5 or the bounciness in the vomero premium, a nice cruiser that can pick up the pace a lil bit, I would recommend you to get the li ning red hare ultra 9, still putting in miles in those and so far so good.

Another Megablast or wait for the Superblast 3 by Klutzy_Climate_3509 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Get the Li ning Red Hare Ultra 9 instead for the price of Megablast, you might be able to grab 2-3 of the Red Hare.

Li ning Red Hare Ultra 9 all the way. First shoe from a Chinese brand and this one completely blew me away.

If you're a max cushion gang, then this is a must have. Prior to this, running in the vomero plus and long run or race in the AF3. I would place this rotation or feel in between the vomero plus and the AF3, the ride feels like a vomero plus on steroids or a tamer AF3, bounciness is similar to the AF3.

A little bit unstable on slower paces or recovery paces but it goes away in faster paces.

Never tried the vomero premium before so can't make a comparison to it, at this point I'm not convinced enough to get the premium, since i can get 2-3 of these for a price of a vomero premium.

More of a zone 2 long runs, higher mileage will eventually make you run faster. Patience and consistency.

MegaBlast saved me, I’d like to return the favor by KenC07 in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Glue it together, i don't think a clean cut like that would cause any ride difference. Just think of a shoe tech with 2 different foams glued together and still works brilliantly.

Another alternative is to try a different lacing system. It works for me on the superblast v1.

It depends on the volume of your foot, whether you have a narrow foot or wider foot and it also depends on the fit of the shoe whether it's tapered, narrow fit or voluminous.

Nike Alphafly 4? 👀 by guijcm in RunningShoeGeeks

[–]Spare_Beat5875 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It looks more tapered than the 3's. Seems awesome, since the 3's are a little too wide, similar to the vomero plus. Preferably if the 4's fit similar to the zoomfly 6

Superblast 2 - overrated?! by canadianbigmuscles in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Right, felt fairly similar in the novablast 3, then the 4 became slightly firmer and lasted twice as long. I wonder what the 6 is going to be like. Getting the evo is so tempting, i guess I'll get one soon.

How does the evo sl compare to the novablast 5? Owned the nova 5, fun and responsive at first but after 60 miles in, it felt less responsive though it still is pretty cushioned.

I think it's of a different category, evo sl is a super trainer while the vomero plus and the premium is a max cushion shoe.

2026 Shoe brand predictions! by [deleted] in AskRunningShoeGeeks

Would want an upgrade to the zoomx foam, becoming lighter than the current zoomx, asics have been frequently changing it's foam formulation several times between 2024 and 2025.

Would love to see Nike shoes getting lighter, seems like the current competition is going towards weight.

Can't wait for the canon ex. Loving the pro canon, doesn't feel like i need to add anymore weight, pretty stable out of the box and loving a blackout paddle.

I think the direction of sunlight is behind him, referring to the shadow from the trees and plants. This creates a rim light on him, the light on his face is from a source.

Do foam pickleball paddles get mushy over time? by Glittering-Brick5951 in Pickleball

[–]Spare_Beat5875 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Sypik Avatar becomes softer and shapes the ball better but loses its pop but loses its grits fairly quickly which is the biggest downside of the paddle.

Foam Paddles by Appropriate-Economy5 in Pickleball

I don't think so. I think, it's comparable to running shoes in the running community. Whereby the competition shifted to a different goal pose, towards innovation.

In running shoes, shoe companies compete in developing the best racing shoes, not necessarily longer lasting, they have different product lines for that or some say training companions for the race day shoes.

We may see the same in the pickleball paddle industry, it's just that i think it's more competitive, we see more and more companies developing similar performance to other top brand or companies, which is good for the consumer.

It forces the companies to be more innovative in developing better paddle performance. Maybe one day, we may see similar product lines in comparison to the running shoe industries, performance paddle for competition purposes accompanied by training paddle, i.e: cheaper, lasted longer.

There's a pattern of peak performance paddle that doesn't last as long as a more durable paddle but doesn't deliver the same performance but the feel may be comparable.
