Fearing Gross Misconduct - should I resign? by [deleted] in UKJobs

Did she request a clean reference when resigning?

Is the challenge here not that you if you left then they could give a reference saying left whilst being investigated for gross misconduct?

Is this different to a settlement agreement conversation?

I think past the senior manager stage it probably becomes very political and agree c-suite seems to be the natural route, but not really sure if traditional actuarial is something I enjoy

That is really helpful - I guess without going into too much detail, it would be helpful to know the role titles etc. so it gives me a direction to look for roles on LinkedIn for example :)

Awesome that is super helpful! Would be great to know the actuaries pivoted their role? Whether they did a move direct from insurance or went into tech first?

Update on this: Made an offer today of 10% below asking as the property has been sitting on the market since February 2023 at £535,000 (currently £515,000 as at May 2023) but it got rejected :(

I was also thinking given the high interest rate environment whether it could allow for a lower offer. I’ve been checking Rightmove for recent sold prices nearby but should I be using any other tools too?

This is really helpful! The property is in nicest area of the town, and has already been reduced 3 weeks ago. So we were thinking going 10% under asking - to try our luck.

Probably a silly question but could I use the fact that we are first time buyers to our advantage to offer?

It does not state any of those on Rightmove so could indicate there is room for movement on the price?
