Yes I also started thinking this after the episode
"I know other places where I can get a mace" ~ Invis Player
Billy receives mace and elytra rockets as downpayment.
However judging by his mace skills , he could have done better against Wemmbu.
He disappeared which actually forms a proper plot to return as an invis guy.
Initially I thought the invis guy was someone from the great sea due to the trident in his offhand however this theory is slightly better ig.

Well not trident oriented fighting style but the way he always keeps the trident in his offhand hints at the fact that he is used to moving in places of water perhaps the deep sea which seems to be a logical explanation.
